Germany at Eurovision 2025: Abor & Tynna won Germany’s “Chefsache ESC 2025” and will perform “Baller” on the Eurovision 2025 stage. Listen to the song.

“Baller” (translated as “Shooter”) is the song that will be performed by Abor & Tynna, representing Germany at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. The duo will perform their song for the first time in the second semi-final on May 15. However, since they represent a sponsoring country, they automatically advance to the Grand Final, which will take place on May 17. The song was written by the singers themselves along with Alexander Hauer and is performed in German. This marks the creators’ first Eurovision entry.




The song, in an electro-pop style with a catchy chorus, deals with coping with a painful breakup, feelings of loss and disappointment, but also a determined decision not to look back. The performance is accompanied by strong white-blue lights. Tynna, the lead vocalist, wears a cream-colored shirt and mini skirt, commanding the stage excellently. Behind her are two dancers, while Abor, the other half of the duo, is positioned to the side playing the cello

The Grand Final was hosted by Barbara Schöneberger, who is no stranger to the Eurovision world and will be hosting the selection for the ninth time. Schöneberger traditionally also presents Germany’s points at Eurovision itself and has done so every year from 2015 to 2022.




Abor & Tynna – Who are you?

Abor & Tynna is an Austrian musical duo consisting of brothers Attila and Tunda Bornemisza. They grew up in a musical family; their father, Csaba Bornemisza, has been a cellist in the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra since 1993. The duo began collaborating musically in 2016, combining styles such as pop, hip-hop, and electronic music to create a unique sound. Their debut album, “Bittersüß”, was released on February 14th, 2025.

 

“Chefsashe 2025” Results:

The winner of the national selection was chosen by public vote after five artists were selected by a jury panel to advance to the second round. This came after they performed their Eurovision song and a cover version of a well-known song:

      1. Abor & Tynna – “Baller” +”Bang Bang” – 34.9%
      2. Lyza – “Lovers On Mars” + “Creep” – 31.1%
      3. Moss Kena – “Nothing Can Stop Love” + “Levitating” – 22.6%
      4. Leonora – “This Bliss” + “Houdini” – 7%
      5. The Great Leslie – “These Days” + “Waterloo” – 4.4%

Eurovision 2025: This will be Germany’s 68th participation in Eurovision. Germany joined the competition in 1956, was one of the seven founding countries, and has won twice over the years. Germany’s last victory was in Eurovision 2010 with the song “Satellite” performed by singer Lena Meyer-Landrut.
