Cyprus: Eurovision 2026 entry by Antigoni is in its final production stages and is expected to debut “Sing for Greece 2026”, alongside a music video filmed entirely in Cyprus.

Antigoni, the first representative selected for Eurovision 2026, is currently working intensively with her team and the Cypriot delegation on the song with which she will represent Cyprus in the competition. The song is now in its final stages of production and is expected to be completed very soon, allowing the music video filming to begin later this month.

When and Where Will the Cypriot Song Be Revealed?

According to a report by the Greek Eurovision website eurovisionfun, the Cypriot entry is scheduled to be unveiled for the first time during a live performance at the Greek national final, “Sing for Greece 2026”, where it is customary to host the Cypriot representative each year as a guest artist. As a reminder, the Greek national final is expected to take place on February 7.

Filming the Music Video in Cyprus

Antigoni, who will represent Cyprus in the major competition, requested that the music video be filmed in Cyprus in order to highlight her personal and emotional connection to her home country. She aims for all aspects of her participation from the song itself to the music video to be clearly and authentically connected to her homeland.

Song Details and Creative Team

The song is co-written by the successful Greek creator Claydee, who describes it as “a powerful dance track” with a strong rhythmic and highly stage-oriented character.

In recent years, Cyprus has often been among the last countries to reveal its Eurovision songs. However, this year expectations point to an earlier release, with both the song and the official music video set to be released no later than mid-February.

Antigoni – Who Are You?

Antigoni, born in Cyprus, recently joined the international tour of Marina Satti, Greece’s representative in Eurovision 2024. In interviews and on social media, she has repeatedly expressed her desire to represent her homeland at Eurovision.

Antigoni began writing songs as a teenager and studied at the BRIT School in London, known for producing artists such as Adele and Amy Winehouse. In her early twenties, she signed a contract with Island Records and began developing her own sound – a mix of pop and R&B with Mediterranean influences and Greek instruments. Her music frequently features bilingual lyrics; she sings in both Greek and English, reflecting her identity as both British and Cypriot.

She is best known from the British reality show Love Island, in which she participated in the eighth season in 2022, which increased her visibility in the United Kingdom and Cyprus. Alongside her television exposure, she continues to focus on her musical career.

Cyprus in Eurovision 2025

Shh” is the song performed by Theo Evan, who represented Cyprus at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. The song, performed in English, finished 11th in the first semi-final with 44 points and did not qualify for the final – marking the first non-qualification for Cyprus since Eurovision 2022.

Eurovision 2026: This will be Cyprus’s 42nd participation in Eurovision. Cyprus joined the competition in 1981 and achieved its best result in Eurovision 2018 when singer Eleni Foureira finished in second place with the song “Fuego”.
