“Andromeda” is the name of the song to be performed by LELEK, who will represent Croatia in Eurovision 2026 taking place in Vienna, Austria, in the first semi-final on May 12th. The song was written by Tomislav Roso, with music by Filip Lacković, Lazar Pajić, and Zorja Pajić. This is the creators’ first song in the competition, and it is performed in Croatian. LELEK defeated 15 other contestants in the Croatian Eurovision national selection final “Dora 2026” held tonight.
“Dora 2026” hosted by Barbara Kolar, Duško Ćurlić, Iva Šulentić and Ivan Vukušić. The final was broadcast live from the studios of the Croatian national broadcaster HTV in Zagreb and shown live on the HTV channel, on the HRTi platform and on the broadcaster’s website.
The girls are as if inside a temple, hugging and huddled close to each other, all dressed in black with marks like witches on their faces. The stage fills with fog, giving it an ancient and mysterious atmosphere. The camera pulls back, revealing ancient trees on stage. The fog seems to swirl them away from the camera in the middle of the song. In the chorus, they spin in a circle and the stage fills with fire. Behind them, the screen displays a staircase leading to the unknown. Finally, the temple collapses and the stage turns black.
The song deals with memory, collective pain, and sharp criticism of betrayal and the distortion of history. It describes trauma passed down from generation to generation, the fear of mothers, tears, graves, and soldiers sent on their way amid cries. The band poses piercing questions toward the past and the leadership, hinting at a bloody price and a sense of abandonment or betrayal, emphasizing that “the people” are not meant to be submissive or enslaved. Alongside the criticism and anger, there is a longing for refuge and redemption through cosmic imagery like stars and Andromeda, symbolizing a distance from the pain and judging eyes.
LELEK – Who Are You?
LELEK is a Croatian ethno-pop band that connects local musical tradition with a modern pop sound and a very meticulous stage performance. The band consists of five girls: Judita Štorga, Inka Večerina Perušić, Korina Olivia Rogić, Lara Brtan, and Marina Ramljak. In 2025, they participated in “Dora,” the Croatian national selection for Eurovision, with the song “The Soul of my Soul,” finishing in fourth place in the final while securing second place in the public vote and marking themselves as the year’s big surprise.
Since their appearance in the national selection, LELEK has continued to gain attention in the Croatian and Eurovision scenes, thanks in part to the distinct combination of strong female vocals, modern arrangements, and ethnic elements that emphasize their Slavic identity. Alongside their stage presence, the group is building its own visual language and clear aesthetics—from costumes to directing—which easily distinguishes them in the alternative pop field and facilitates a connection with audiences even outside of Croatia.
