Tonight at 19:00 CET, Romania’s “Selecția Națională 2026”, will take place, determining the country’s entry for Eurovision 2026, which will be held in Vienna, Austria. The show will be broadcasted live from the TVR Studio 3 Hall in Romania’s capital, Bucharest. Hosting the event will be Daniel Nuță and Giulia Nahmany. Twelve contestants will compete in tonight’s grand final, with the Romanian entry will be chosen solely by a panel of professional juries.

The grand final’s broadcast will begin at 19:00 and continue until 22:00 CET.

Who to watch tonight?

In a poll conducted on the site, you, the readers, decided that Alexandra Căpitănescu is your favorite to represent Romania at Eurovision 2026. She competes in “Selecția Națională” with the song “Choke Me”, which received 49.15% of the total votes.In second place, earning 13.56% of the votes, is WRS with his song“All the Way”. Third place went to Alejandro Zandes & Emil Rengle with “Bailando Solo” (in English: “Dancing Alone”), receiving 8.47% of the votes.

The EuroMix editorial team, after listening to all the songs, agreed with the audience’s choice and also selected Alexandra Căpitănescu as the most deserving candidate to represent Romania at the upcoming Eurovision, awarding her 76 points. In second place, with 71 points, ranked the singer Yguana with her song “Happy Birthday”. Only two points behind, WRS secured third place with a total of 69 points.

On Spotify, Alexandra Căpitănescu leads all contestants with approximately 121,000 streams. Following her is the band HVNDS with their song “DOR” (in English: “Longing”) accumulating around 66,000 streams. In third place are Edward MAYA x LavBbe x COSTI with the song “Everybody Needs Somebody”, which has gathered about 30,000 streams.

On YouTube, Alexandra Căpitănescu also tops the chart with about 151,000 views. In second place are Alejandro Zandes & Emil Rengle with around 102,000 views, closely followed by WRS, whose video has nearly 100,000 views.

Based on data from multiple platforms, Alexandra Căpitănescu with the song “Choke Me” stands out as the frontrunner to win Romania’s “Selecția Națională 2026”.

Romania at Eurovision 2023
