Tonight at 20:00 CET, Sweden’s “Melodifestivalen 2026”, will take place, determining the country’s entry for Eurovision 2026, which will be held in Vienna, Austria. The show will be broadcasted live from Strawberry Arena (also known as Friends Arena) in Sweden’s capital, Stockholm. Hosting the event will be Gina Dirawi and Hampus Nessvold. Twelve contestants will compete in tonight’s grand final, with the Romanian entry will be chosen by international jury and the Swedish audience.

The final will begin at 20:00 and end at 22:00.

The primary contender to represent Sweden at Eurovision 2026 is Felicia with her song My System, who secured 47.76% of the fan vote in our website’s poll. Following in second place with 11.94% are the A*Teens with their track “Iconic,” while the band Smash Into Pieces took third place with “Hollow,” receiving 10.45% of the votes.

Our staff also ranked Felicia in the top spot with 116 points, aligning with our readers’ pick for the overall winner. However, the editorial rankings showed some divergence elsewhere: Meira Omar climbed to second place with her song “Dooset Daram” (93 points), despite finishing fifth in the fan poll. Rounding out the top three for the editorial team were the A*Teens (91 points), who held the runner-up position in the reader rankings.

Streaming and Viewership Data

According to Spotify streaming data, Felicia is leading the pack by a significant margin, boasting approximately 6,611,000 streams. In second place is the band A*Teens with roughly 4,370,000 streams, followed by Brandsta City Släckers in third with their song “Rakt in i elden,” which has garnered about 4,121,000 streams.

The trend continues on YouTube, where Felicia once again emerges as the clear winner with approximately 1.4 million views. Brandsta City Släckers take the second spot here, accumulating about 798,000 views, while the A*Teens follow in third with approximately 636,000 views.

Sweden at Eurovision 2025:

“Bara bada bastu” (in English: “Just take a sauna”) is the title of the song which was performed by the band KAJ, who represented Sweden in Eurovision 2025, in Basel, Switzerland – placing 4th with 321 points. The song was written by the band members – Kevin Holmström, Axel Åhman, and Jakob Norrgård – along with Anderz Wrethov, Kristoffer Strandberg, and Robert Skowronski.

The song led the betting predictions throughout the competition, reaching a peak of 49% winning probability, but ultimately finished in fourth place with 321 points – 126 points from the juries, ranked sixth, and 195 more points from the public, ranked third.

Eurovision 2026: This will be Sweden’s 65th appearance in the competition. Sweden joined Eurovision in 1958 and has won the contest seven times over the years. The country’s most recent victory came in 2023, when Loreen won with the song “Tattoo”.
