Switzerland’s Eurovision 2026 representative, Veronica Fusaro, shares first details about her performance in Vienna, saying she ignores betting odds and rankings to stay true to herself.

Preparations for Eurovision 2026 are entering advanced stages, with performances taking shape and delegations working intensively. Switzerland’s representative for Eurovision 2026, Veronica Fusaro, is beginning to reveal her artistic direction for Vienna, but is doing so differently from most contestants without paying attention to betting odds, rankings, or external pressure. In a recent interview, Fusaro emphasized that for her, the most important thing is to remain true to herself and deliver the song authentically on stage.

In her interview with Swiss media, Fusaro explained that she has no interest in predictions or betting surrounding Eurovision, even when they directly involve her:

I watched it once, then decided I didn’t care, because ultimately it doesn’t matter. It’s still very early days, and the performance will determine whether the audience connects with it or not. I’m just going to stay focused on what I’m doing“.

This approach reflects confidence and a desire to maintain balance within one of the most competitive and high-pressure arenas in the music industry.

Alongside her decision to ignore the surrounding buzz, Fusaro shared initial hints about her performance. According to her, the concept will focus on creating a complete stage experience, with an emphasis on her presence as an artist:

“At Eurovision, we’re going to fill the stage one or another… And there will, of course, be guitar”.

Additionally, she will collaborate with director Fredrik “Benke” Rydman, who was responsible for staging Nemo’s winning performance at Eurovision 2024 with the song “The Code”, a move that raises expectations among fans of the contest.

Following Switzerland’s recent success, including a victory in the contest, the country appears determined to maintain its precise and carefully crafted artistic direction while also bringing a more personal and emotional angle to the stage. Instead of chasing trends or predictions, Fusaro is choosing to focus on the message and audience connection, a strategy that has often proven successful at Eurovision. As May approaches, it will be interesting to see whether this calm and confident approach can stand out on Europe’s biggest stage and lead Switzerland to another strong result at Eurovision 2026.
