Eva Marija, Luxembourg’s representative for Eurovision 2026, has released a quiet and moving cover version of Celine Dion’s Eurovision classic “Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi,” with which she won.

Luxembourg returns to the Eurovision stage with the song “Mother Nature”, performed by the young singer Eva Marija, in the second semi-final of Eurovision 2026, which will take place on May 14th in Vienna, Austria. As part of the YouTube series “A Little Bit More”, in which Eurovision artists perform different versions of Eurovision songs from all eras as well as special renditions of their own entries, Eva Marija chose to pay tribute to one of the most legendary songs in the contest’s history: “Ne Parte Pas Sans Moi” by Celine Dion, which won Eurovision 1988. Watch the full performance:

Eva Marija’s performance was uploaded on Saturday as part of the long-running “A Little Bit More” series on the official Eurovision YouTube channel. As part of the preparations for the contest, the EBU invites all participating artists to perform a live version of their Eurovision song, a cover of another Eurovision entry, or even one of their own songs. Most artists choose to take advantage of this opportunity to showcase their vocal abilities through these performances. Often, artists release new interpretations of classic Eurovision songs, revealing a different side of their artistic expression.

Eva Marija, Luxembourg’s representative, chose to move audiences with her intimate interpretation of the Swiss Eurovision classic by Celine Dion. In the performance, Marija sits in a dark room beside a piano, dressed in a black suit, singing into the empty space. The performance highlights not only Eva Marija’s impressive vocal abilities but also her musical talent on the piano, in addition to the violin she plays in her entry this year. It may also serve as a subtle nod to Luxembourg’s history with French-language songs, despite Eva Marija herself being a singer of Slovenian origin.

Eva Marija – Who Are You?

Eva Marija, or by her real name Eva Puc, 21 years old woman, is a Luxembourgish singer with Slovenian roots. At the age of 3, Eva Marija fell in love with the violin thanks to Eurovision 2009 winner Alexander Rybak. Since then, she has studied in musical programs at the Luxembourg Conservatory.

Alongside the violin, she studies singing, piano, and bass guitar in a variety of styles, from jazz and classical to pop-rock. Eva Marija was born and raised to Slovenian parents and feels connected to both cultures. Today, she is studying songwriting in London.

Luxembourg in Eurovision 2026

Mother Nature” is the title of the song that will be performed by Eva Marija, who will represent Luxembourg at Eurovision 2026, to be held in Vienna, Austria, in the first half of the second semi-final on May 14th. The song was written by Eva together with Thomas Stengaard, who has been responsible for many Eurovision songs, including the winning entry of Eurovision 2013, “Only Teardrops”, Maria Broberg, who was among the writers of Poland’s 2023 entry “Solo” and Moldova’s 2019 entry “Stay”, and Julie Aagaard, who co-wrote the United Kingdom’s 2025 song “What The Hell Just Happened”, Austria’s 2024 entry “We Will Rave”, and Malta’s 2022 song “I Am What I Am”. The song is performed in English.

Mother Nature” explores an inner journey of growth, healing, and reconnection with self through nature. The singer reflects on her past — the innocence of when “the seed was planted” — recognizing that even good things evolve and end. Amid storms, doubts, and identity questions, she finds stability in nature’s forces: the earth, the roots, the wind, and the cyclic rhythm of life.

Currently, Luxembourg is ranked 16th in the betting tables ahead of Eurovision 2026.

Eurovision 2026: This will be Luxembourg’s 40th participation in Eurovision. Luxembourg joined the competition in 1956, was one of the seven founding countries, and has won it five times over the years. Luxembourg’s last victory was at Eurovision 1983 with the song “Si la vie est cadeau” performed by singer Corinne Hermès. In 2024, Luxembourg returned to the competition after a 31-year absence.
