This year’s show was hosted by Gaia Cauchi, Destiny Chukunyere and Keane Cutajar. Cauchi and Chukunyere are both former

Maltese Junior Eurovision winners. Cauchi won the competition in 2013 with the song “The Start”, while Chukunyere secured Malta’s second victory in 2015 with “Not My Soul”. Destiny later represented Malta at Eurovision 2021 with “Je Me Casse”, finishing seventh in the Grand Final. Cutajar, a Maltese presenter and broadcaster, will join the two singers in hosting the competition on home soil.
The show opened with a joint performance featuring representatives from all 16 participating countries. The tradition, returning after several years away, will accompany the annual Flag Parade. The performance featured no fewer than 110 children, creating a large-scale opening that highlights the contest’s adopted slogan, “United By Music”.
The interval act will feature two recent Eurovision winners: DARA, who won Eurovision 2026 for Bulgaria with “Bangaranga”, and Lou Deleuze, who won Junior Eurovision 2025 for France with “Ce Monde”. The two artists took to the stage for a special meeting between the winners of the two competitions, adding to the evening’s musical celebrations.
