After being chosen as the host city for Eurovision 2025, Basel is opening registration for the volunteer group that will assist in various areas of Eurovision in Switzerland.
After being selected to host the Eurovision Song Contest in May 2025, the Basel tourism team has opened applications for volunteers. The city of Basel is inviting dedicated fans of the competition to take part in making the Eurovision events a success. Volunteers will be given various tasks including logistical support at events, guiding visitors and delegations, and managing information booths. Their duties will be carried out over the two Eurovision weeks, during which they will be stationed throughout the various contest venues in the city: St. Jakobshalle arena, Eurovision Village, Eurovision Street, Press Center, Delegation Area, backstage areas and more.
The announcement from Basel states:
“The Eurovision Song Contest is coming to Basel and we are looking for you! Become a volunteer and be at the heart of the biggest music event in the world. Whether you have a talent for languages, organizational skills or are simply passionate about the ESC – we need your support in a variety of areas. As a volunteer, you are an indispensable part of our team.
You help to welcome artists, fans and the press, support behind the scenes at events and ensure that Basel shows its best side during Eurovision week. Apply now and help make the ESC 2025 an unforgettable experience!

Eurovision 2025: The 69th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Basel, Switzerland, on May 13, 15, and 17, 2025. The St. Jakobshalle arena, which will host the competition, is expected to accommodate about 12,000 spectators for each show. The contest will take place in Switzerland following the country’s third historical win with the song “The Code”, performed by singer Nemo. This will be the third time the competition has been hosted in Switzerland, after the contest was held there in 1956 and 1989.
