CyBC receives 6 record label proposals for Cyprus at Eurovision 2027, including Josephine, Evangelia, Katerina Stikoudi, and Anastasios Rammos.

The race to represent Cyprus at Eurovision 2027 has reached a significant stage. Major record labels in Greece and Cyprus have submitted their official proposals to the Cypriot national broadcaster CyBC, outlining their preferred candidates for the 71st Eurovision Song Contest, scheduled to take place on May 11th, 13th and 15th, 2027, in Burgas, Bulgaria.

According to an exclusive report by Eurovisionfun, the list features six prominent names from the local and international music industries: Josephine, Anastasios Rammos, Charis Savva, Evangelia, Katerina Stikoudi and Giorgos Perris.

The first major name on the list is successful pop singer Josephine, who was nominated by record label Heaven Music. She came particularly close to securing the Eurovision ticket last year, losing to Antigoni by just one vote in the jury’s decision. Now signed to a new record label and working with a fresh creative team, Josephine is back in the running, determined to finally conquer the Eurovision stage.

One of the most intriguing surprises comes from PANIK Records, which has proposed acclaimed singer-songwriter Anastasios Rammos. Known for his numerous hits and songs written for a range of leading artists, Rammos initially considered submitting a song to Greece’s “Sing for Greece 2027” national selection. However, his record label ultimately decided to put his name forward directly for Cyprus’ Eurovision selection.

Former Junior Eurovision Star Among the Candidates

Another candidate proposed by PANIK Records is Charis Savva, a Cypriot singer with a notable historical connection to the Eurovision family. Savva represented Cyprus at Junior Eurovision in 2008, when the competition was held in Limassol. Since then, she has established herself in the music industry, collaborated with some of Greece’s biggest artists and repeatedly expressed her ambition to compete at the adult Eurovision Song Contest.

MINOS EMI has put forward two familiar candidates who also tried their luck during the previous selection cycle. The first is singer Evangelia, who has competed multiple times for the opportunity to represent Cyprus, as well as attempting to secure Greece’s Eurovision ticket. Despite not being selected, she continues to pursue her ambition of representing the island and waving the Cypriot flag on Europe’s biggest musical stage.

Alongside her, MINOS EMI has once again submitted the candidacy of Katerina Stikoudi – a singer, actress, television presenter and Greek pop icon. She has previously spoken publicly about just how close she came to fulfilling her Eurovision dream.

Giorgos Perris Completes the Six-Artist List

Completing the list of six candidates is international singer Giorgos Perris, who was also among the names considered last year. Active across Greece and the international music scene, Perris is recognized for his impressive vocal abilities and distinctive musical style. His inclusion adds considerable stage experience and an established international profile to Cyprus’ shortlist.

The six proposals now place CyBC at an important stage in its preparations for Eurovision 2027, as Cyprus considers its options for the upcoming contest in Bulgaria.

Cyprus at Eurovision 2026

“JALLA” (in English: “More”) is the song that was performed by the singer Antigoni, who represented Cyprus in the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria. Cyprus qualified for the final from the second semi-final and finished 19th in the grand final, scoring 75 points.

Eurovision 2027: This will be Cyprus’s 43rd participation in Eurovision. Cyprus joined the competition in 1981 and achieved its best result in Eurovision 2018 when singer Eleni Foureira finished in second place with the song “Fuego”.
