The list of contestants for the Spanish Eurovision National Finals, Benidorm Fest 2025, will be unveiled on November 12th!

The Spanish Eurovision national final, Benidorm Fest, will serve for the fourth time as the national selection process to choose Spain’s representative for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Basel, Switzerland. The Spanish national broadcaster, RTVE, had initially planned to hold a press conference to reveal the contestants on Thursday, November 7th. However, it was reported yesterday that the reveal date would be postponed, just three days before the scheduled press conference.

RTVE did not provide an explanation for the postponement of the press conference. However, it is likely due to the situation in eastern Spain, which is experiencing one of the worst floods in Spanish and European history. Reports indicate over 200 casualties in the Valencia region.

Today, RTVE announced that the 16 Benidorm Fest contestants will be revealed on Tuesday, November 12th, at a press conference identical to the original plan at Prado del Rey studios in Madrid.

Record-Breaking Submissions for Benidorm Fest 2025

As previously reported, the Spanish national broadcaster, RTVE, announced a new record, with approximately 1,000 songs received, over 200 more than last year! After the song submission window closed and the RTVE selection committee for the festival listened to all the received songs, the 16 best and most suitable songs were chosen to participate in next year’s festival.

Competition Format and Voting System

Some of the participants will advance to the grand final of the local competition, which is expected to take place on February 1st. The song that will represent the country in Switzerland will be chosen through a combined voting system: judges will account for 50% of the total vote, a representative sample (demoscopic judges) for 25%, and the public vote for 25%.
