A sneak peek: Ukraine’s national broadcaster, Suspilne, unveiled snippets from each song competing for the 10th spot in the 2025 Eurovision preliminary, “Vidbir 2025”. Listen to the songs!

Ukraine’s national broadcaster, Suspilne, leading the Eurovision preliminary contest “Vidbir 2025”, revealed tonight snippets from each song vying for the tenth spot in the 2025 preliminaries. This moment is eagerly anticipated by the audience and could mark the leading candidate to represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. The full songs will be published on January 13th, immediately after the voting for the tenth candidate opens and will continue until January 17th, 2025. The public will be able to listen to the full songs of the contestants, which will be uploaded to the official “Eurovision Ukraine” YouTube channel on the first day of voting.




Draw Order Revealed

In an official Instagram post, the Ukrainian National Broadcaster published the performance order of the ten candidates, which determined their voting numbers in the competition:

  1. ENLEO – “SUPERNOVA”
  2. МУАЯД (MUAİAD) – “AMNESIA”
  3. BRYKULETS – “Кришталі” (Crystals)
  4. Ranrawi – “Anymore”
  5. GRISANA – “Kohoney”
  6. Слушай Сашу (Slukhai Sashu) – “Живи” (Live)
  7. MON FIA – “Dive Inside”
  8. YAGODY – “БрамаЯ” (Bramala)
  9. Starykova Hrystyna – “Rise”
  10. FIINKA – “Культура” (Culture)

The discussed draw provides the foundation for a competition that will be decided through public voting. The tension among the candidates is high, as the tenth spot is the last chance to join the prestigious team.

Among the contestants who have not yet been selected are:

  • Yagody – competed in last year’s Ukrainian Eurovision pre-selection and reached fifth place with his song “Tsunamia“.
  • Fiinka – competed in the Ukrainian Eurovision pre-selection in 2023 and reached fourth place with her song “Dovbush“.



Who among the candidates will manage to capture the public’s heart?

Among the ten candidates, there is a wide variety of musical styles. ENLEO brings a contemporary and punchy style, while MUAYAD offers a song that touches on deep emotions. Ranrawi continues the familiar melodic line, and FIINKA, who closes the list, stands out with her unique style, and has even been marked as a favorite by Ukraine’s representatives for Eurovision 2024.

Alongside the prominent candidates, there are also new artists bringing a unique interpretation to the competition. The central question that remains is whether they will manage to convince the audience and become favorites in the voting. Ukraine’s Eurovision pre-selection, “Vidbir 2025”, is expected to be one of the most fascinating in recent years, and the decision on the tenth candidate is gaining momentum. The Ukrainian public, which demonstrates high involvement every year, is expected to determine the identity of the contestant who will receive the last ticket to the national team.



Vidbir 2025 judges:

  • Jamala: The winner of Eurovision 2016 with the song “1944,” who also judged last year’s pre-selection. This will be her seventh time judging the Ukrainian Eurovision pre-selection, and she received 35.28% of the votes this year.
  • Serhiy Tanchynets: The lead singer of the band BEZ Limitations, who also judged last year’s pre-selection and received 20.24% of the votes this year.
  • Kateryna Pavlenko: The lead singer of the band Go_A, who represented Ukraine in Eurovision 2021, finishing fifth (and was scheduled to represent the country in Eurovision 2020, which was canceled). She received 11.84% of the votes.

Among the contestants are several familiar names:

  • Ziferblat – Competed in last year’s Ukrainian national selection and reached second place with their song “Place I Call Home“.
  • Khayat – Competed in the 2020 Ukrainian national selection with his song “Call for Love” and reached second place.



Ukraine in Eurovision 2024

Jerry Heil and Alyona Alyona represented Ukraine at Eurovision 2024 with the song “Teresa & Maria.” The duo won the Ukrainian national selection “Vidbir 2024” and finished third in the Eurovision final with 453 points.

Their entry is notable for being the first since 2002 to place in the top 5 while performing second in the running order, a position traditionally considered challenging in Eurovision statistics.

Eurovision 2025: This will be Ukraine’s 20th participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. Ukraine joined the competition in 2003 and has won it three times. Ukraine’s last victory was in Eurovision 2022 with the song “Stefania” performed by Kalush Orchestra.
