Tonight at 20:55 CET, the grand final of “Eurosong 2025” will take place, culminating in the selection of Belgium’s representative for Eurovision 2025. Belgium will be the sixth country to reveal its song for the international competition, following Montenegro, Albania, Luxembourg, Greece, and Slovenia. Eight songs are competing in the Belgian Eurovision selection, from which one will be chosen to represent Belgium at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland.

This year’s Belgian national selection spans three broadcasts – two pre-recorded song reveal shows without voting, and tonight’s live grand final from Vilvoorde. In each reveal show, four contestants performed their original entry competing for the right to represent Belgium in Basel.

In the Eurovision 2025 betting odds at the time of publication, Belgium is ranked first with an 11% chance of winning, closely followed by Israel, also with an 11% chance. The selection of the Belgian contestant and song may lead to interesting changes at the top of the betting odds table.

Who Are the Favorites Tonight?

In a survey conducted on the website, voters chose Red Sebastian as the favorite to win the Belgian Eurovision selection tonight with his song “Strobe lights“. The singer received 38.31% of the votes. Menitssa ranked second with 24.03% of the votes for her song “Désolée“, while Le Manou came in third with 12.99% of the votes for “Fille à papa“.

The Euromix editorial team, after listening to the songs, ranked the top three positions identically to the voters’ choice.

YouTube views also indicate Red Sebastian as the favorite to win, with 150,000 views for his song, significantly ahead of Menitssa in second place with only 57,000 views.




Red Sebastian – Who Are You?

Seppe Herremans, known by his stage name Red Sebastian, is already a phenomenon in the Belgian music industry at 25. His musical persona has been developing in front of audiences thanks to a career that began at an early age and exceptional talent.

In a recent interview for escbubble, the singer talks about his deep connection to Eurovision, saying, “I’ve always dreamed of being on that stage since I was a little boy.” His passion for Eurovision started at a young age with watching Belgian national selections and Junior Eurovision.

Beyond his love for Eurovision, he also describes his rich musical background, from piano studies at the music academy in his hometown to studies at the conservatory, where he met teachers who deeply influenced his vocal ability and songwriting. Gustaph, who represented Belgium at Eurovision 2023, was one of Red Sebastian’s teachers and greatly influenced him.

The song “Strobe Lights“, with which he is competing in “Eurosong 2025”, describes an unforgettable night of experiences with friends. Sebastian describes the song as “flashy, euphoric, and impressive,” and says it’s meant to enjoy life and make the most of it.

Competition Format and Voting System

The Belgian preliminary for Eurovision 2025, “Eurosong 2025” will feature two song reveal shows. The first show will take place on January 18th, the second on January 25th, and the grand final, selecting Belgium’s representative for Basel, on February 1st, 2025. In each show, four contestants will perform a new version of a Eurovision song and then their original song with which they compete to represent Belgium in Basel. After each show, the complete songs performed will be published on streaming platforms. The results will be determined by a combination of viewer votes and professional judges’ scores.

Eurovision Selection Dates:

  • The First Show – Saturday, January 18th, 2025, at VRT Studios, Brussels.
  • The Second Show – Saturday, January 25th, 2025, at VRT Studios, Brussels.
  • The Grand Final – Saturday, February 1st, 2025, at EMG Studios, Vilvoorde.
