Tonight at 19:50 CET, the Norwegian national broadcaster, NRK, will host the final of “Melodi Grand Prix 2025,” determining Norway’s entry for Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. The final features nine competing songs, with the winner chosen by a combination of public voting (60%) and an international jury (40%). The jury consists of ten voting points across Europe, each comprising five music experts. This year marks the first time since 2019 that the “Melodi Grand Prix” will be held without semi-finals.
The grand final will be hosted by Marte Stokstad, who has previously hosted the competition, Markus Neby, and Tete Lidbom. It will take place at the Oslo Spektrum in Oslo, the same venue that hosted Eurovision 1996.
The Grand Final will begin at 19:50 and continue until 21:50 CET.

Who Are the Favorites Tonight?
Several contestants are favored to win tonight. Nataleen is the favorite among EuroMix readers and editorials, having received the most votes, with 44.44% of the readers’ votes. According to YouTube views, Kyle Alessandro leads with about 75,000 views, followed by Wig Wam and then Nataleen, both with around 30,000 views.
Another potential surprise could come from Wig Wam, who, despite not ranking high in polls, are third in betting odds and second in YouTube views. They have a history of success related to Eurovision and might surprise with a strong performance.
Nataleen – Who Are You?
Nataleen is a Norwegian singer who began her career on Norway’s version of “The Voice,” reaching the semi-finals. She then worked as a songwriter and independent artist. Her song “The Game“ was co-written with the team behind Alessandra Mele‘s 2023 Eurovision entry “Queen of Kings“.

- Bobbysocks, the 1985 Eurovision winners with “La det swinge“, are returning to the Norwegian pre-selection after 40 years since their victory in Gothenburg, Sweden. The duo consists of Elisabeth Andreassen, 66, and Hanne Krogh, 68. Since their iconic win, both have developed impressive solo careers while maintaining a close friendship. Now, they are set to reunite on stage, reminding us why they became Norwegian and European musical icons.
- Wig Wam band, Norway’s representatives in the 2005 Eurovision with the song “In My Dreams,” where they reached ninth place. The band also participated in the Norwegian Eurovision pre-selection in 2024 with the song “Crazy Things” and finished in third place.
- Nora Jabri competed in the 2012 Norwegian pre-selection with the song “Somewhere Beautiful“, finishing second in the final.
Norway in Eurovision 2024
Gåte represented Norway at Eurovision 2024 with the song “Ulveham”. The band won the Norwigian national finals “MGP”. Norway advanced to the Eurovision final after placing tenth in the second semi-final with 43 points. In the grand final, Norway finished in 25th and last place with 16 points. This marks the first time since Eurovision 2012 that Norway has finished last, and the twelfth time overall since joining the competition.
Eurovision 2025: This will be Norway’s 63rd participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. Norway joined the competition in 1960 and has won it three times. Norway’s most recent victory was in 2009 with the song “Fairytale,” performed by Alexander Rybak.
