Czechia reshuffles its Eurovision 2026 plans: the male act will be revealed on 8 March, with the song release postponed to 11 March.
Earlier this week, we reported that Czechia, one of the last countries yet to show its hand ahead of Eurovision 2026 in Vienna, would unveil both its act and song together on 8 March. However, a new update published yesterday (Thursday) on the contest’s official Instagram page has changed those plans.
According to the revised schedule, Eurovision fans will have to wait a little longer. The Czech national broadcaster (ČT) has decided to split the announcement into two separate dates: the identity of the artist who will represent the country will still be revealed this Sunday, 8 March. The song itself, with which they will compete at the contest, will only be released on Wednesday, 11 March.

The suspense builds: who is behind the clues?
This split announcement only fuels the rumours surrounding the Czech delegation, which has been teasing fans for weeks. Recently, the delegation’s Instagram page posted a mysterious black‑and‑white visual with the caption “Follow a voice unknown”, along with a description hinting at a “New Voice.”
Who will represent Czechia at Eurovision?
Around 260 songs were submitted to a special internal committee at the Czech national broadcaster ČT, comprising music and industry experts as well as public representatives. From all the submissions, the country’s Eurovision 2026 act was selected late last year, but not yet revealed. At the start of the year, ČT announced that the act would be revealed in January. This never happened, and instead the official Czech Eurovision Instagram account published several intriguing posts about the selection.
On 5 February, the broadcaster stated that more details would be coming soon and confirmed that the chosen representative is a male artist, already relatively well known either in the Eurovision world or within the Czech music industry. In doing so, the Czech national broadcaster invited Eurovision fans to guess who the act might be and even hinted that, according to them, his name appears among those fan guesses.
Is the split reveal designed to build extra hype ahead of an especially elaborate music video premiere on Wednesday? We will have to wait and see. Czechia will perform in the first half of the second semi‑final at Eurovision 2026 and will hope that this intriguing choice helps the country return to the Grand Final after two consecutive non‑qualifications.
Czechia at Eurovision 2025
“Kiss Kiss Goodbye” is the title of the song performed by singer ADONXS, who represented Czechia in the second semi-final of Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. Czechia did not qualify for the Grand Final and finished in 12th place out of 16, with only 29 points.
This was the second consecutive year in which the country failed to qualify for the Grand Final.
