Members of the Euromix editorial team convened to vote for the competing songs in “Polskie Kwalifikacje 2026”. Who should represent Poland at Eurovision according to the editorial team?
The Polish Eurovision national selection, “Polskie Kwalifikacje 2026”, is set to take place tommorow at 17:35 CET, featuring 8 contestants. The winner of this local competition will get the chance to represent Poland at Eurovision 2026 in Vienna, Austria. In anticipation of this event, Euromix editorial team members gathered to listen to the participating songs and select their favorites from the national selection.
Editorial Picks: Who Should Represent Poland?
Avi Zaikaner: First Place – Anastazja – “Wild Child”
Anastazja, who bears a suspicious resemblance to Anna Zak, is competing in the national final with an excellent and catchy pop song that is hard to miss. I think this is a song that could bring Poland one of its best results at Eurovision in recent years. Any other choice would be a mistake.
Aviad Berger: First Place – Basia Giewont – “Zimna Woda”
What a downfall compared to last year. From an excellent national final with quite a few songs that could have easily stood out in the Eurovision grand final, we’ve arrived at this. There are only a few songs here that could bring Poland to the final in Vienna, but I still chose one that I personally like, and that is the song “Zimna Woda”. In my opinion, this song represents Poland above all else and brings ethnicity and fun energy to the stage. I’ll also mention Alicja, who was supposed to represent Poland in 2020 and returned with a great song, though unfortunately a weaker one. Good luck to Poland, please choose wisely.
Ofek Jerassi: First Place – Anastazja – “Wild Child”
The Polish national final is very weak this year, unfortunately. As much as I love voting for ethnic numbers that truly represent the country they come from, this year I have to give my vote to the song “Wild Child” by Anastazja, which is a nice song, nothing more. It’s hard for me to see Poland standing out this year and qualifying for the final. I predict a failure after the wonderful success of last year. So good luck to Poland, try not to sit alone in the dark in the green room in Vienna.
Adiel Shtainmetz: First Place – Basia Giewont – “Zimna Woda”
The Polish national final isn’t particularly strong, but there are two excellent songs in it. It was hard for me to decide between them, but in the end the uniqueness of “Zimna Woda” won me over. This is a song with huge staging potential, and I can definitely see it finishing on the left side of the scoreboard in the final. Of course, that depends on the staging and the singer’s vocal performance. As long as one of my top two wins the national final, I’ll be very satisfied.
Tal Dahan: First Place – Ola Antoniak – “Don’t You Try”
Ladies and gentlemen, the female version of “Lose Control”! The Polish national final is at a very decent level, and above everyone else the song that stood out to me was one that intrigued me from the very first moment – “Don’t You Try” by Ola Antoniak. I don’t think the song will achieve too much in the contest, but I liked it a lot, and I also wouldn’t oppose a victory for Alicja, who deserves proper compensation after the cancellation of Eurovision 2020, in which she was supposed to compete. Good luck to Poland!
Maor Heumann: First Place – Stasiek Kukulski – “This Too Shall Pass”
There are several dramatic and powerful songs in this national final, but “This Too Shall Pass” in its Polish version is exactly what I needed in these tense days in the safe room. There are many songs that talk about how it’s okay to be weak, it’s okay to speak about difficulties, and there is no shame in vulnerability. This song carries the same message, but Stasiek’s emotional performance turns it from just another generic song into a powerful ballad that I would be happy to see on the stage in Vienna.
Talor Fishler: First Place – Basia Giewont – “Zimna Woda”
Basia Giewont brings a perfect combination of Eurodance and powerful techno-folk. I really love this style, especially when it’s performed in Polish, which adds a lot of character. Basia has a strong and powerful voice that carries the song effortlessly, and the lyrics, which deal with self-love and the image of a flowing river, create an emotional and interesting connection. This is a modern production with traditional roots, and that’s exactly the kind of energy I’m looking for on the Eurovision stage.
Neta Geffen: First Place – Alicja – “Pray”
Ever since Eurovision 2020 was canceled, I’ve wanted to see at Eurovision all those who never got the chance to reach the big stage, and I really hope Alicja gets that opportunity this year. She has an exceptional voice and the ability to convey emotion in a clean and sincere way, and “Pray” gives her the stage to do exactly that. It’s a powerful ballad that builds gradually and reaches an emotional climax with a personal and authentic performance. For me, this is not only the choice of a good song, but also a chance to see an artist who deserves to stand on the big stage finally get her moment.
Maayan Eli: First Place – Stasiek Kukulski – “This Too Shall Pass”
A cute song, a bit generic, whose success will depend mainly on the performance itself, both visually and vocally. Poland isn’t bringing anything groundbreaking this year. On the one hand, most of the songs in the national final are decent, but on the other hand there’s no real standout. The melody and rhythm of “This Too Shall Pass” are good and pleasant to listen to, the chorus is catchy, and after just one listen you can easily hum it. I wish Stasiek Kukulski the best of luck, because the success of the song depends on strong vocal abilities.

Poland in Eurovision 2025
“GAJA” was the name of the song performed by Justyna Steczkowska at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. Poland finished seventh in the first semifinal with 85 points, qualified for the Grand Final, and ultimately achieved 14th place with 156 points.
Eurovision 2026: This will be Poland’s 28th participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. Poland joined the competition in 1994 and achieved its best result that same year when singer Edyta Górniak reached second place with the song “To nie ja!”.
