The Austrian Eurovision production reveals its Green Room, or “Coffee Room”, host. Emily Busvine will be at the heart of the most unforgettable moments of Eurovision 2026. Here’s everything we know so far.

Just before the lights go up and the stage of Eurovision 2026 comes to life in Vienna, Austria, one of the most intriguing behind-the-scenes roles has been revealed. The Austrian national broadcaster ORF has announced that Emily Busvine will host the Green Room, the place where the real drama unfolds after each performance. According to Busvine, she will take on a role akin to a “waitress” or café manager within the concept, as the Green Room will be designed as a traditional Viennese coffee house connected directly to the main stage. Between moments of tension, excitement, and anticipation for the results, Busvine is expected to stand at the center of the most human moments of the upcoming contest.

ORF confirmed that Emily Busvine will serve as the Green Room host throughout all three live shows. Busvine is an actress and broadcaster, best known for her work on the morning show of Austrian radio station FM4. She will accompany the artists and delegations in the moments immediately following their performances, when emotions are at their peak.

Following the announcement, Busvine addressed the difference between radio broadcasting and live television:

“I’m trying not to think about it too much, honestly. It’s one thing to stand in a radio studio with a microphone and to know, in an abstract sense, that people are listening to you, but to be on live TV is a wholly different endeavor.”

Busvine is stepping into one of the most sensitive roles of the contest, as the Green Room consistently delivers some of Eurovision’s most authentic and memorable moments, with cameras capturing real-time reactions from artists and delegations.

Speaking about the pressure, she added:

“I will ensure that all the contestants feel comfortable in the Green Room and have a relaxed and enjoyable time in true Viennese coffeehouse culture.”

In a reel shared on the official Instagram page of Austrian broadcaster ORF and FM4, Busvine introduced herself and reflected on her new role:

“The Eurovision Song Contest is special for me, because all these different people and cultures and countries coming together.”

She also presented the new coffee house concept, explaining:
“I’m kind of like a waitress or the café owner, so I might bring the most wacky coffee creations to people and have them try it”.

She concluded the video by saying: “I’m looking forward to having as much fun as that.”

A Viennese Coffee House at the Heart of Eurovision

As part of the preparations for Eurovision 2026, set to take place next month, ORF revealed that the Green Room, where artists and delegations stay from the moment they finish their performance until the results are announced, will receive a unique redesign.

The space will be styled as a traditional Viennese coffee house, paying tribute to the city’s cultural heritage, which has been recognized by UNESCO.

This year, the Green Room will be located בתוך the arena itself and, for the first time, will be directly connected to the main stage via a walkway passing through the audience. This will allow for a seamless transition from the performance to the Green Room seating area.

Alongside Busvine, who is expected to become the face of the contest’s most intimate moments, ORF has also revealed the two hosts who will lead the main shows: Victoria Swarovski and Michael Ostrowski.

Swarovski, one of Austria’s most prominent television personalities, rose to international recognition after winning “Let’s Dance” in 2016, a breakthrough moment that launched her career. She later returned to the show as a presenter and has since built a strong presence on screen, alongside developing her own beauty brand.

Joining her is Michael Ostrowski, an actor, presenter, writer, and director, widely regarded as one of the most established figures in Austrian entertainment. With a career spanning over two decades, he has appeared in numerous film and television productions and has received the Austrian TV award “Romy” for his work.

ORF emphasized that the pairing is no coincidence. Program Director Stefanie Groiss-Horowitz stated:

“Victoria Swarovski and Michael Ostrowski are two motivated, exciting and extraordinary personalities who will guide us through the spectacular shows of the Eurovision Song Contest. Our goal is to thrill an international audience from all over the world with a sensational TV experience.”

The combination of Swarovski and Ostrowski, blending television glamour with deep professional experience, together with Busvine, who will lead the raw and unscripted moments in the Green Room, reflects a clear vision from the Austrian production: to create a rich, accessible viewing experience with a strong local identity, while appealing to a broad international audience.

Eurovision 2026: Eurovision 2026, the 70th edition of the contest, will take place in Austria following the country’s third victory with the song “Wasted Love,” performed by JJ. This will mark the third time Austria hosts the competition, after previously doing so in 1967 and 2015.
