Jonas Lovv, representing Norway, took to the stage today for his crucial second rehearsal at Eurovision 2026, proving why he was chosen to close the second semi-final with a bang. Delivering a raw and energetic rock performance of his hit “Ya Ya Ya”, the singer presented a polished version featuring blinding red lighting, explosive charisma, and intense pyrotechnic effects unlike anything seen so far this year. With a bold performance portraying him as a modern rock god, Norway is making it clear they are aiming for the top of the leaderboard in a show that left the arena in Vienna breathless.
Visuals, Sequins, and Staging Details
The released footage begins at the start of the song, where we see the artist approaching the center of the stage, which features a raised platform. Two guitarists are positioned at the back of the platform, while the drummer is on the right side. During this sequence, the singer approaches them and heads toward the microphone stand, raising both hands in the air. Throughout the first half of the clip, the camera begins filming from behind the performer, capturing his ascent to the stage before rotating once around the platform until the start of the first verse, eventually focusing on one of the musician’s guitars. As the segment concludes, the camera angle shifts to the other side of the stage while the words “Self control” flash in red and white on the background LED screens.
Norway’s second Rehearsal: More Details
The performer chose to wear a jumpsuit on stage to showcase his tattoos, with the trousers of the outfit covered in black sequins. In contrast, his musicians wear long red suits that blend into the LED background and flashing lights. In addition to the dominant red color that takes over the entire stage at the beginning of the segment, white lights are also visible, interweaving with the bright red. During the rehearsal, the vocalist managed to maintain vocal stability while moving from side to side. The combination of aggressive lighting and sharp movements creates the atmosphere of an underground rock club pulsating at a dizzying pace.
The Road to the Grand Final
This performance will close the evening, as it is scheduled as song number 15 and the final entry of the second semi-final. As one of 35 nations competing in Vienna, will closing the semi-final with such an electrifying performance guarantee Norway a fast track to the top of the Grand Final scoreboard?
