Health Update and Tour Postponement

An official statement published on the singer’s website noted: “Bonnie is no longer in a coma, but she still feels very unwell and is hospitalized in the intensive care unit at a hospital in Portugal (near her home in Faro). Although her condition is improving, it is a very slow process.” It was further reported that her treating physicians are confident she will successfully rehabilitate and achieve a full recovery, but they emphasize that “it will take time.”

Due to the complex medical situation, representatives for Tyler regretfully announced the postponement of the concert tour planned for the remainder of the summer to alternative dates next year. Her team expressed hope that the tour scheduled for this coming autumn will be able to take place as planned. The representatives apologized to fans for the distress, warmly thanked them for the massive wave of love and support the singer is receiving from all over the world, and added that Bonnie is aware of the well-wishes and is deeply grateful for them.

The EuroMix team sends wishes for a speedy recovery and full health to Bonnie! We will continue to provide updates on any developments.

Born in 1951 as Gaynor Hopkins, Tyler is considered one of the defining voices of 80s rock-pop music, characterized by her uniquely husky vocal style. Her global breakthrough arrived in 1983 with “Total Eclipse Of The Heart“, which topped the charts in both the UK and the US, followed by the anthem “Holding Out For A Hero“, which remains culturally significant today.

Throughout a career spanning five decades, Tyler has maintained consistent success across Europe. In 2013, she represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö with the song “Believe In Me“, where she finished in 19th place. Alongside modern collaborations, such as her 2025 single with David Guetta, she was awarded an MBE in 2022 for her services to music – one of the most prestigious honors in the United Kingdom. Today, she is regarded as an iconic artist who successfully bridged the gap between classic rock and accessible pop, influencing generations of creators.
