Dara Receives Hero’s Welcome After Historic Eurovision Victory
The artist who attracted the greatest attention and became the undisputed focal point of the evening was Bulgarian singer Dara. Having delivered a historic first-ever Eurovision victory for Bulgaria just last May, the singer arrived in Athens for her first international performance since winning the contest.
Dara performed her winning entry “Bangaranga” in a special arrangement prepared by acclaimed Greek choreographer and artistic director Bill RoXenos. She was also presented with a special Gold Record recognition award by the event organizers.
In addition, Dara presented Dimitris Kontopoulos, one of the songwriters behind the winning entry, with a special award resembling a miniature Eurovision trophy as a token of appreciation for his work behind the scenes with the Bulgarian delegation during the contest in Vienna.

Akylas, Eleni Foureira and Marina Satti Among the Night’s Biggest Winners
Alongside the Bulgarian star, the artist who received overwhelming support and electrifying applause from the home crowd was Akylas, Greece’s representative at Eurovision 2026.
Crowned “Breakthrough Artist of the Year” during the ceremony, Akylas demonstrated true pop-star status by delivering more than a single performance. He energized the arena with a medley featuring “Ferto”, the song he performed at Eurovision 2026, which also won the Viral Song of the Year award. The performance additionally included “Akyla Tequila” and “Spasto”.
The celebration would not have been complete without one of the Balkan Eurovision community’s most beloved figures. Eleni Foureira, who famously secured Cyprus’ historic second-place finish in 2018, set the stage alight with a spectacular visual performance and claimed two major awards – Female Artist of the Year and Music Video of the Year for “Alleluia”.

Eurovision Stars Dominate the Mediterranean Spotlight
Completing the list of Eurovision-related names was a group of popular artists who once again demonstrated their enduring appeal among Mediterranean audiences.
Andromache, who represented Cyprus at Eurovision 2022 with “Ela”, returned to captivate the audience. Joining her were two more recent Eurovision stars: British-Cypriot singer Antigoni, who represented Cyprus at Eurovision 2026 with the upbeat track “JALLA”, and Klavdia, whose powerful vocals helped Greece secure an impressive sixth-place finish at Eurovision 2025 with the ballad “Asteromata”.
Also taking part in the Eurovision-themed celebration was pop singer Marseaux, who emerged this year as one of the leading contenders in Greece’s Eurovision national selection with her song “Chánomai”.
All four performers received enthusiastic applause throughout the evening, further proving that Eurovision remains deeply embedded in Greek popular culture and continues to hold a unique place in the hearts of audiences across Greece, Cyprus, and the wider Balkan region.
