YLE has announced the key dates for UMK 2027, the Finnish national selection for Eurovision. With ticket sales opening and intriguing hints about the seven competing artists already dropped, anticipation is building for the grand final in Tampere.
This morning (Tuesday), the Finnish national broadcaster YLE revealed that ticket sales for the Finnish national selection, which will determine Finland’s entry for Eurovision 2027 in Bulgaria, will open on Thursday, October 1st. In a post published on the selection’s Instagram page, all the important details for the familiar and beloved competition were revealed, including the full schedule. The seven selection participants will be revealed on Wednesday, January 13th, and starting the following day, one of the competing songs will be revealed each day until the round is complete.

In the new post, the organizers of the selection began dropping hints, publishing one clue for each participant. According to the hints, the lineup is particularly diverse, including a band, a duo, and a highly intriguing clue pointing to the possible return of a past UMK competitor arriving to show a new side. The winner of the live broadcast final will commit to representing Finland at Eurovision 2027 and adapting their song to the international competition rules of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). Ticket prices for the selection range from 20 to 60 euros for the dress rehearsal, and for the live show, prices range from 60 to 120 euros.
