Cyprus has chosen its representative and song for Eurovision 2025. The selected artist is a young Cypriot musician with extensive stage experience.

After the Cypriot national broadcaster, RIK, announced that it would continue with the internal selection method this year, local media now report that the search for the artist to represent the country in the competition is almost complete.

According to the reports, RIK has narrowed down the final choice to two artists deemed the “best and most suitable” to represent Cyprus in Eurovision. This follows the news from about a month ago that Eurovision experts and significant figures from the music industry would participate in the selection process, narrowing down the potential candidates while focusing on the singers’ abilities to perform on the large Eurovision stage in front of millions worldwide and undergo intensive rehearsals for the competition.

Announcement of the Representative Next Month?

According to reports, the Cypriot national broadcaster is expected to announce the chosen artist at the beginning of September. After years of selecting representatives from foreign countries with roots in Cyprus, this year’s selection focuses on local talent. The two potential singers are young men with musical education and are well-known in Cyprus and beyond. Both have extensive stage experience and are expected to perform their song confidently in front of millions of viewers.

As part of the preparations, the song that will represent Cyprus has already been selected and written by leading songwriters. The song is described as “special and full of optimism,” and “it is expected to bring great success to Cyprus in the competition”. The song is expected to be revealed at the beginning of next year.
