Despite the lack of official confirmation, speculation continues to grow around Poland’s potential Eurovision entry for 2025.
Who are you, Sara James?
Sara James, a 16-year-old Polish singer, has gained significant local and international exposure despite her young age. Her journey to stardom began in 2021 when she won the fourth season of the Polish version of “The Voice Kids”. That same year, she triumphed in the Polish national selection for Junior Eurovision and represented her country at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021, where she secured an impressive second place with 218 points.
In 2022, James made a guest appearance at the Polish national selection for the adult Eurovision Song Contest, performing several songs, like Netta Barzilai’s song “Toy”. Later that year, she participated in “America’s Got Talent,” finishing in fifth place, and subsequently even competed in the show’s All-Stars version.
Eurovision Buzz and Fan Support
With such an impressive resume, it’s no wonder there’s significant buzz and surrounding speculation about James representing Poland in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. In a poll conducted by the Polish fan site “Dziennik”, she was crowned the “dream representative” for Poland, emerging as the clear favorite among Polish audience.
When interviewed by RMF FM radio station, James expressed her appreciation for the support she’s receiving. She stated that she feels honored that people want her to represent Poland at Eurovision.
Despite her busy schedule, Sara James has made it clear that she hasn’t said her final word regarding the Eurovision Song Contest. In various interviews, she openly expresses that competing in Eurovision remains one of her biggest dream.
With a new album set to release in less than two months, James acknowledges that timing is crucial for a major competition like Eurovision, but it remains constantly on her mind. In an interview with a Polish radio station, she added:
“I don’t want to make a mess, I want to be 100% ready. I need to sit down and think about it. I’m not saying when yet, because I still don’t know. I have a lot of work ahead of me […] I just want to be ready and have a beautiful song”.
Poland in Eurovision 2024
“The Tower” is the name of the song performed by singer Luna, who was chosen through an internal selection by the Polish national broadcaster, and represented Poland in the first semi-final of Eurovision 2024. Luna finished 12th in the semi-final with 35 points and did not qualify for the grand final.
