Tonight at 20:15 CET: The final of “Chefsache 2025” takes place, where Germany’s representative and song for Eurovision 2025 will be chosen. A link to watch the broadcast is provided.

Tonight at 20:15 CET, “Chefsache ESC 2025” will take place to choose Germany’s representative and song for Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. Nine songs will compete in two rounds. In the first round, they will perform their Eurovision entry and a cover song, from which the judges will select five artists to advance to the second round, where only public voting will decide the winner. The public can vote via phone, SMS, or online.

The Grand Final will be hosted by Barbara Schöneberger, who is no stranger to the Eurovision world and will be hosting the selection for the ninth time. Schöneberger traditionally also presents Germany’s points at Eurovision itself and has done so every year from 2015 to 2022.

Who to Watch For Tonight

In a poll conducted on the website, Euromix visitors chose Abor & Tynna to represent Germany at Eurovision 2025 with the song “Baller” (in English: “Shooter”), receiving 31.03% of the votes. Feuerschwantz came second with 24.14% of the votes for their song “Knightclub”, and Cosby came third with 17.24% for their song “I’m Still Here”.

The EuroMix editorial team agreed with the voters’ choice, selecting Abor & Tynna to represent Germany at Eurovision, with 54 points. Cosby came second with 49 points, and Feuerschwantz third with 47 points.

Based on YouTube views, there’s a close race between Abor & Tynna and Feuerschwantz, with both having around 160,000 views. The third place, Moss Kena, is far behind with only about 60,000 views.

Abor & Tynna – Who are you?

Abor & Tynna is an Austrian musical duo consisting of brothers Attila and Tunda Bornemisza. They grew up in a musical family; their father, Csaba Bornemisza, has been a cellist in the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra since 1993. The duo began collaborating musically in 2016, combining styles such as pop, hip-hop, and electronic music to create a unique sound. Their debut album, “Bittersüß”, was released on February 14th, 2025.

Details about the selection process schedule have also been revealed. The quarterfinals will air on RTL, while the grand final will take place on Saturday, March 1st, at 20:15 CET on Das Erste. Barbara Schöneberger will host all four shows, as she did last year.

  • Quarter Final 2: Saturday, February 15th, 2025.
  • Semi Final: Saturday, February 22nd, 2025.
  • Grand Final: Saturday, March 1st, 2025, at 20:15 CET.




Germany in Eurovision 2024

“Always on the Run” is the title of the song performed by singer Isaak, who represented Germany in the grand final of Eurovision 2024. The song was selected through a national selection process. Germany finished 12th in the final with 117 points, achieving 10th place among the juries and only 19th place in the public vote.

Eurovision 2025: This will be Germany’s 68th participation in Eurovision. Germany joined the competition in 1956, was one of the seven founding countries, and has won twice over the years. Germany’s last victory was in Eurovision 2010 with the song “Satellite” performed by singer Lena Meyer-Landrut.
