Israel at Eurovision 2025: The national broadcaster announced who will present Israel’s jury votes at the Grand Final in Basel – who will call out “Douze Pua”?
While Yuval Raphael is preparing for her performance in Basel, after months of preparations and anticipation, the identity of the spokesperson who will present Israel’s jury votes at the Grand Final of Eurovision 2025 has been revealed: Eden Golan, Israel’s representative at Eurovision 2024, was chosen for this prestigious role.
The Official Announcement by KAN
The Israeli national broadcaster, KAN, announced that Eden Golan will stand before millions of viewers worldwide this year and reveal the results of the Israeli jury votes during the Eurovision Grand Final, which will take place this year in Basel, Switzerland.
This is an exciting and meaningful choice, as Eden Golan herself competed at Eurovision 2024, succeeded in reaching the final, and even secured the fifth place – an impressive achievement that made her a beloved and respected figure among Eurovision fans in Israel.
According to the broadcaster’s statement, Eden Golan will present “the combined results of the Israeli jury”, reflecting Israel’s ongoing commitment to active and influential participation in the international competition.
Eden Golan: A Symbol of Israeli Continuity and Success
The selection of Eden Golan as this year’s spokesperson was no coincidence. Thanks to her confident, charismatic, and moving performance at Eurovision 2024, she left a deep impression on a wide audience, making her a natural and obvious choice.
Whereas in most years it has been customary to choose prominent media figures or well-known singers, this time the national broadcaster decided to grant the honor to someone who, until recently, was herself standing on the Eurovision stage.
This sends a clear message of appreciation and recognition towards the new generation of artists who represent Israel with pride across Europe and the world.
Anticipating an Unforgettable Broadcast
The decision to appoint Eden Golan as the spokesperson has sparked special excitement among Eurovision fans.
Many are wondering how Eden will choose to present herself – will she opt for a classic and elegant approach, or perhaps surprise with something bold and memorable? Either way, it is clear that her presence will add another moving and glittering moment to the night of the Grand Final.
There is no doubt that when the familiar call “Douze Pua from Israel” will be heard from Eden Golan, it will be a moment of pure Israeli pride.
The Israeli Eurovision Song for 2025 – All the Details

What Does the Israeli Eurovision Song Mean?
The song “New Day Will Rise” addresses one of the most universal and profound themes – the life-giving power of love and hope. The lyrics speak of dealing with loss, separation, and pain, but also about the possibility of overcoming and renewing. The song conveys the belief that with every ending comes a new beginning, that pain will fade, and love will remain with us. Each verse of the song highlights the way hope and love can carry us even in times of darkness and pain.
What Does the French Verse in Israel’s Eurovision Song Say?
The French verse in “New Day Will Rise” differs somewhat from the English verses in terms of emotional approach. While the English verses emphasize the light that enters our lives even in tough times and the love that remains with us after separation, the French verse, “Et même si tu dis adieu, Tu ne partiras jamais,” focuses more directly on the spiritual presence of the beloved, stressing the idea that love stays even when we part ways.
Who Will Direct Israel’s Eurovision Performance?
The team directing Israel’s Eurovision performance, with Yuval Raphael performing the song, is composed of Shai Bondar, Yuval Cohen, and Yoav Tsafir. The three also collaborated last year with the song “Hurricane,” which earned Israel 5th place in the Grand Final
