San Marino’s Eurovision 2025 representatives, Gabry Ponte, held his first rehearsal in Basel with the song “Tutta L’Italia”. Stay tuned for all updates from Switzerland.

Gabry Ponte, San Marino’s representative, is the fourth act to rehearse today on the Eurovision 2025 stage with his song “Tutta L’Italia“. Gabry will perform as song number 11 in the first semi-final, scheduled for May 13th.

Gabry is clearly at home on massive stages and in front of huge audiences, and once again he’s totally commanding this performance. As we saw at San Marino’s national selection, the show focuses squarely on Gabry in a shiny silver jacket, set against a backdrop of flashing lights and graffiti covering the LED screen. His DJ booth is a giant structure that looks like it’s built from mirrored panels, bouncing the lights right back at us. The dancers from earlier stages have disappeared, replaced now by two live musicians – one on accordion, the other on tambourine.

This is definitely an unusual and creative staging for Eurovision – a performance where the masked singers aren’t the center of attention. The only clear comparison that comes to mind is Norway’s 1995 entry “Nocturne”, where the main focus was on the fiddler rather than the vocalist. Got other examples? Drop them in the comments!

No matter what, this feels like a big football anthem of a song, and it’s easy to imagine the crowd getting totally swept up in its contagious vibe next week. Part of the lyrics go: “Let’s dance with a drink in hand / And tomorrow we’ll regret saying I love you.” Classic Euroclub material.

PYRO check: flame cannons and fireworks, with extra smoke jets added for the final chorus and a firework blast to finish it off. The pyro stash is officially empty now.

San Marino at Eurovision 2025

“Tutta L’Italia” (translated as: “All of Italy”) is the song that Gabry Ponte will perform to represent San Marino at Eurovision 2025, which will take place in Basel, Switzerland. He will perform his song for the first time in the second part of the first semifinal on May 13.

The song was written by the artist himself along with Edwyn Roberts Clark and Andrea Bonomo, who participated in and wrote many songs for the Sanremo Festival, which serves as the Italian Eurovision selection. The song is performed in Italian. Ponte represented Austria at Eurovision 2022 as a producer and songwriter for the song “Halo,” performed by LUM!X feat. Pia Maria.

Gabry Ponte – Who Are You?

Gabriele “Gabry” Ponte (born April 20, 1973) is an Italian musician, DJ, and producer, best known as a member of the Italian dance group Eiffel 65. He gained fame in 1998 when he produced the international hit “Blue (Da Ba Dee)”, which topped global charts. His work, both as part of Eiffel 65 and as a solo producer, has made a significant impact on the electronic and dance music genre. In 2005, Ponte announced his departure from Eiffel 65 to pursue a solo career and, in 2006, founded the “Dance and Love” label, which became one of the most important independent dance labels in Italy.

Ponte represented Austria at Eurovision 2022 as a producer and co-writer for the song “Halo”, performed by LUM!X and Pia Maria. In his live performances, Ponte has performed approximately 90 shows across 11 countries, before over 700,000 spectators. He composed and produced the official theme song for the Sanremo Festival 2025, “Tutta l’Italia”, which became a massive hit in Italy.
