“Fire” is the song to be performed by Sarah Engels, representing Germany at Eurovision 2026, which will take place in Vienna, Austria on May 12th, 14th, and 16th. The song was co-written by Engels together with Dario Schürmann, Luisa Heinemann, Raphael Lott, and Valentin Boes.
From the very first moment on stage, Sarah radiates energy that makes it clear the song was written precisely for her. Behind her, the screen displays fiery visuals, and as the performance unfolds, real flames rise along the edges of the stage. Sarah delivers a dynamic and uplifting performance, offering a refreshing and captivating contrast to the songs Germany has sent to Eurovision in recent years. It will be intriguing to see what result this stylistic shift brings for Germany in the upcoming Eurovision Grand Final this May.
The song “Fire” tells the story of a woman freeing herself from a burdensome and confining relationship, rediscovering her inner strength and confidence. Its message comes to life on stage through Sarah’s expressive freedom, powerful vocals, and commanding presence.

Lyrics – “Fire”
Stop denyin’, nyin’
No lyin’, lyin’ no more
Boy, I’m out of your league
Nonsense what you’ve been doin’ to me
Just know, that I could take my revenge
I could go out with all of your friends
I can fake it till I make it, but I won’t
If you crave it you can take it, but you don’t
I don’t want it, I don’t need it
And I won’t let you repeat it
You just play it till you break it and it’s blown
I’m on fire, fire
You’re a liar, liar
Stop denyin’, nyin’
No lyin’, lyin’ no more
Like a vampire, you hide
Then come out at night
Stop denyin’, nyin’
No lyin’, lyin’ no more
I’m on fire, fire
Stop denyin’, nyin’
No lyin’, lyin’ no more
Just wait a minute you’re gonna see
That you won’t find another like me
You come around and I’ll be too late
‘Cause I won’t do the same old mistake
I can fake it till I make it, but I won’t
If you crave it you can take it, but you don’t
I don’t want it, I don’t need it
And I won’t let you repeat it
You just play it till you break it and it’ѕ blown
I’m on fire, fire
You’re a liar, liar
Stop denyin’, nyin’
No lyin’, lyin’ no more
Like a vampire, you hide
Then come out at night
Stop denyin’, nyin’
No lyin’, lyin’ no more
I’m on fire, fire
Stop denyin’, nyin’
No lyin’, lyin’ no more
Like a vampire, you hide
Then come out at night
Stop denyin’, nyin’
No lyin’, lyin’ no more
I’m on fire
I’m on fire, fire
You’re a liar, liar
Stop denyin’, nyin’
No lyin’, lyin’ no more
Like a vampire, you hide
Then come out at night
Stop denyin’, nyin’
No lyin’, lyin’ no more
I’m on fire
I’m on fire
Like a vampire, you hide
Then come out аt night
Stop denyin’, nyin’
No lyin’, lyin’ no more
