Croatia’s First Rehearsal: More Details
Shortly after the performance of “Andromeda” begins, viewers will witness a spectacular sight that makes full use of the catwalk leading from the Green Room directly to the main stage in Vienna. This is the first time Eurovision fans will see this stage element utilized so dominantly and effectively, transforming the arrival of Lelek to the main stage into a majestic display of grandeur. Their stage presence on the catwalk gives the entire contest the magnificent and powerful atmosphere it deserves.
Blood-Red Robes: The Chilling Aesthetic of Lelek
Dedicated fans who remember their winning performance in “Dora”, know that the members of Lelek are very fond of using robes, and this fashionable choice returns in a big way on the Austrian stage. However, this time, a significant upgrade was noted as they wove a deep and hypnotic blood-red hue into their outfits. This is a chilling and stylistically brilliant visual choice that perfectly corresponds with the high tension and emotional intensity inherent in the song “Andromeda”.
On-Stage Time Warp: From a Mystical Cave to a Wormhole
The intensity does not remain confined to the catwalk, the massive LED screens behind them play a critical role in the fairy tale they weave on stage. The lighting and video art take the viewer on a fast-paced journey from a mysterious mystical cave to an enchanted and magical forest. The performance reaches its absolute climax at the end, as the screens pull the audience in through a “wormhole” at such an immense speed that it feels like a time warp one has no choice but to be sucked into.
This powerful Croatian display may shift the balance of power in the first semi-final. The feeling in the corridors of the arena in Vienna is that everyone simply wants to go back 30 minutes in time and watch those three minutes of madness once again.
