Sweden’s representative in Eurovision 2026, Felicia, collapsed after the Eurovision jury’s rehearsal. SVT and ORF are adjusting schedules.

The Eurovision Grand Final is just a few hours away, and all the qualifying countries are in their final, crucial preparations for the big night, at the end of which one country will lift the coveted trophy in Vienna. Among the artists preparing for their performance is Swedish singer Felicia, who will compete in the Grand Final with her song “My System” as the 20th song in the running order. Following reports earlier this week that she lost her voice and was resting to recover, Swedish media now reports that Felicia collapsed and lost consciousness after the crucial jury rehearsal last night. Will the streak of bad karma continue for Sweden in the Grand Final?

Backstage Collapse and Delegation Measures

The Swedish delegation is in a state of panic after Felicia failed to withstand the pressure, collapsing backstage following her performance during last night’s jury rehearsal. The Head of Delegation stated to the media:

To prevent what happened yesterday from happening again, we have taken certain measures. […] To give Felicia more time for sleep and recovery, she will not participate in the opening flag parade at today’s rehearsal and we can go to the arena later”.

The Head of Delegation further stated:

“We received approval for Felicia to change out of her tight outfit after the performance so she won’t have to sit in it in the green room throughout the entire broadcast. Additionally, we are in a dialogue with ORF regarding the temperature in the arena and whether the situation can be adjusted”.

The singer qualified for the final from the first semi-final which took place on May 12th, the same semi-final featuring Israeli artist Noam Bettan, who also qualified for the Grand Final. After being selected to compete for Sweden, she stated that she “would do everything to prevent an Israeli victory”, but now it seems that the Swedish singer’s condition is deteriorating by the minute.

What Will Happen in the Grand Final?

The Eurovision Grand Final will take place tonight at 21:00 CET, and updates continue to emerge regarding Felicia’s condition and whether she will be able to participate in the Grand Final as expected. According to the Swedish delegation, the singer is gathering her strength to perform in the final, but according to the latest rehearsals witnessed by the EuroMix team, the singer’s vocal condition is not good at all.

In the Afternoon Family show, Felicia did not appear in the flag parade in the beggining of the show, but she did appear later in the show to preform her song, although with considerable vocal strain.
