Alina Pash and Bambie Thug Join Forces in Witchy Musical Collaboration
Last night, an extended version of the latest single by Ukrainian singer Alina Pash – “Bad Witch” – was released, featuring special guest singer, Bambie Thug. Alina Pash won the Ukrainian national selection for Eurovision 2022 but had to withdraw after being accused of document forgery.
The original version of “Bad Witch” was released three weeks ago, which Alina Pash describes as her “personal feminist celebration”. The song conveys a message of embracing personal flaws and the freedom to express all aspects of oneself, including those hidden from others. It resonated deeply with various audiences, including Bambie Thug, who represented the non-binary community in this year’s contest alongside Eurovision 2024 winner Nemo from Switzerland.
This release coincides with Bambie Thug’s European tour, “Crown the Witch”, following their Eurovision participation. The tour is traveling across Europe and is set to conclude in Cork, Ireland, on November 7th.
Ireland in Eurovision 2024
Bambie Thug represented Ireland at Eurovision 2024 with the song “Doomsday Blue.” The song was chosen through the national pre-selection. Ireland advanced to the final after placing third in the first semi-final with 124 points, and in the grand final, they finished sixth with 278 points.
This marks the first time since 2018 that Ireland has qualified for the final, and it is the country’s best result since 2000.
