Jerry Heil, Ukraine’s representative at Eurovision 2024, revealed on social media that she’s aiming to win Eurovision 2026, which will be held in Vienna, Austria!

Jerry Heil, the beloved Ukrainian singer who represented her country in Eurovision 2024 alongside Alyona Alyona, and together they came in an impressive third place with the powerful and moving song “Teresa & Maria“, revealed that she is ready to fight again for the right to represent her country at Eurovision.

After it was revealed yesterday that Jerry Heil would be returning to “Vidbir 2026”, the Eurovision community was really excited about the return of the beloved singer. Jerry Heil published a post confirming the announcement that she was returning and shared her excitement and anticipation with her followers:

“It’s true – I’m returning to Vidbir 2026. I really missed this celebration of music, and this family called ‘Eurovision’ – a family that I truly feel a part of. Yes, I want to win Eurovision for Ukraine. I want a victory for our music – that we will lead all the European and world charts! I’m really dreaming about it!”

This is not the first, not the second, not even the third time that Jerry Heil has participated in Vidbir! The songs with which she competed in Vidbir are still engraved in the hearts of many Eurovision fans. In 2020, Hale competed for the first time with the song “Vegan”, but in her first participation, she got her lowest result among the times she participated. Hale finished in sixth and last place in the final with only 2 points. Three years later, Hale returned with the powerful and unique song: “When God Shut The Door”. The song was the clear favourite of most Eurovision fans! But in the end, Hale once again missed the opportunity to represent Ukraine in Eurovision, finishing in third place with 17 points. In 2024, Heil returned once again, and this time, she came stronger than ever. Hale won along with Alyona Alyona by a margin of no less than 650,000 votes over the song that finished in second place!

Will Heil also get to represent Ukraine this year and maybe even win Eurovision 2026? We can only wait and find out.

Ukraine at Eurovision: Significant success and an impressive record!

Ukraine, along with Sweden, is one of the most successful countries at Eurovision in the 21st century. It has won three times: in 2004 with Ruslana and the song “Wild Dances“, in 2016 with Jamala and the song “1944“, and in 2022 with Kalush Orchestra and their song “Stefania“. In addition, Ukraine has finished second twice and third twice, and has never missed a final – the only one to hold this title besides Luxembourg, which returns to the competition in 2024.

Ukraine at Eurovision 2025

“Bird of Pray” is the name of the song that was performed by Ziferblat, representing Ukraine in Eurovision 2025. Ukraine qualified for the final from the first semi-final of the contest and finished 9th overall with 218 points. Ukraine finished 6th in tele-votes and 14th in jury votes.

The Ukrainian result is their worst one since 2018.

Eurovision 2026: This will be Ukraine’s 21st participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. Ukraine joined the competition in 2003 and has won it three times. Ukraine’s last victory was in Eurovision 2022 with the song “Stefania” performed by Kalush Orchestra.
