Noam Bettan has been selected to represent Israel at Eurovision 2026, which will take place in Vienna on May 12, 14, and 16, with hopes of securing Israel’s fifth win in the competition. He earned first place in the television show “HaKokhav HaBa for Eurovision 2026” after performing the songs “You Won Everything With Me” (By Amir BeNayoon) and “Dernière Danse” (By Indila). Bettan secured the top spot in both the judges’ vote and the audience vote at home.

Gal De Paz

Gal De Paz opened the finale with the song “Fame” (originally by Irene Cara). The performance opens in a very dramatic way, with Gal standing on a sort of elevated platform with stairs, surrounded by backup singers and dancers who add a lot to the overall presentation. Wow, she’s so impressive — with every new performance she shows and proves just how fitting she is and how much she could stand out at Eurovision. An excellent performance, though unfortunately, as it went on, I felt something was missing. Still, she absolutely must advance to the next stage.

Keren began:

“You’re unforgettable. Every piece you bring to the stage is 100 out of 100. Gal, this was spectacular and your best so far.”

Shiri said:

“I feel like you’re in the right place at the right time. It’s clear you came to enjoy yourself. You’re so good, so Eurovision – you’re the perfect fit.”

Eden commented:

“Wow, Gal. Just when I thought I’d seen everything from you, you surprise me again and outdo yourself each time. You’re amazing, and I love you so, so, so much.”

Itay concluded:

“It was full of joy, everything looked great. A wonderful song choice. You’re phenomenal.”

Alona Erez

Alona Erez concluded the first part of the finale with a performance of “Make You Feel My Love” (originally by Bob Dylan). What an excellent singer. The LED screens fill with waves in shades of red, blue, and purple. Alona is accompanied by a pianist during the song, which greatly enhances the performance. With each new performance, she continues to improve. As the song builds, Alona showcases particularly impressive vocal abilities – her best performance on the show so far! Her voice is so unique, mature, and distinctive for her age – it’s unbelievable that she’s only 17.

Itay began:

“Suddenly I saw a different Alona – strong, completely wild. You absolutely nailed it.”

Eden said:

“This was your best performance since the start of the season.”

Shiri commented:

“I’m so proud of you. You’re so talented and brave. You’ve been on such an incredible journey. You gave a proper finale-level performance – it was absolutely amazing.”

Keren said:

“You were incredible. You’re 17, and it’s unbelievable. This was truly your best performance of the season.”

Assaf added:

“There was maturity here, real depth – it felt like a singer with tons of experience. I don’t know where you bring this from. If you represent us at Eurovision, I’ll sleep very peacefully.”

Assaf and Akiva concluded:

“It was an amazing performance, and the journey she’s been through was simply remarkable.”

Alona received 12 points from each of the juries except Eden, who gave her 10. In total, Alona earned 70 points – placing her in 2nd place on the leaderboard.

Shira Zloof

In the first part of the finale, Shira Zloof performed the song “Ahava” (originally by Osher Cohen). The performance begins in a very dark and intriguing way. After about half a minute, the lights return to the stage, and the LED screens fill with shades of red and heart shapes. As always, Shira reinvented a verse for this song and made it entirely her own. She’s such an incredible artist – she’s destined for a brilliant career in Israel. She’s truly outstanding; later in the performance, she showcases her excellent vocal abilities – so talented.

Eden began:

“I adore you. The performance was phenomenal in my eyes. I’m asking myself if this is what I’d want to represent us at Eurovision, but it was still amazing.”

Itay said:

“A very nice song choice. I don’t think it was your best performance, but you handled it with great poise.”

Shiri commented:

“I also feel like it might not have been your best performance. But your charisma – wow. You did so much out there.”

Keren said:

“This is my chance to thank you for coming here. You delivered an incredible performance, and I’m proud of you.”

Assaf concluded:

“I think you’re fantastic. Your stage presence is wonderful. I thought it was excellent.”

Shira received 8 points from Itay, 10 points from Eden, and 12 points from Asaf, Shiri, and Asaf & Akiva. In total, Shira earned 62 points – placing her in third place on the leaderboard.

Noam Bettan

Noam Bettan performed the song “You Won Everything With Me” (originally by Amir BeNayoon). Noam is dressed in a white suit, and the stage is filled with deep blue lighting. He’s simply such a talented singer – an incredible vocalist. That bit of rasp in his voice gets me every single time. After the first chorus, Noam switches to French, a language he masters so well and that sounds absolutely beautiful on him. The dramatic ending in French added so much – wow, just amazing.

Shiri began:

“The way you sing – you’re amazing! You’re simply a phenomenal singer. You’re absolutely my pick for Eurovision.”

Keren said:

“You never miss. Every performance is a true douze points.”

Eden commented:

“When you chose this song, I had some doubts. But I think you brought tremendous honor to it.”

Assaf said:

“It’s been tough between us this season. I have to say, we’ve got some differences in taste, but I can’t ignore the fact that you’re an excellent singer and performer. You can be trusted.”

Noam received 12 points from Asaf & Akiva, Shiri, Keren, and Eden; 10 points from Itay and Asaf. In total, Noam earned 68 points, surpassed Shira, and placed him in 3rd place on the leaderboard.

At the end of the first round, the audience votes (50%), and the juries’ votes (50%) were tallied. The contestant eliminated at this stage was Alona Erez.

Gal De Paz, Noam Bettan, and Shira Zloof advanced to the second and final round.

Second Round:

Shira Zloof

Shira Zloof chose to perform the song “Hopelessly Devoted to You” (originally by Olivia Newton-John). Shira makes the song her own, significantly changing the arrangement. The LED screens fill with silver crystals and shades of blue. Her raspy voice suits the song perfectly – she’s incredibly talented. The performance itself, though, left me a bit disappointed; she’s had much stronger ones throughout the season.

Noam Bettan

Noam Bettan opened the second and final part of the grand finale with the song “Dernière Danse” (originally by Indila). The LED screens fill with lights reminiscent of the northern lights in Norway. Noam is surrounded by dancers, which adds a lot to the performance. He’s such a great singer – the French fits him perfectly. Toward the end, Noam truly explodes, showing off his rasp and incredible vocal abilities. Such an amazing performance – truly worthy of representing us at Eurovision.

Gal De Paz

Gal De Paz performed the song “All I Ask” (originally by Adele) in the second stage of the final. Gal stands on a white platform, dressed in an impressive, glittering gown. She continues to prove what an incredible singer she is, with truly out-of-this-world vocal abilities. However, this performance left me a bit disappointed — I expected more. A solid performance, but it didn’t quite feel like a grand-final one.
