Switzerland’s First Rehearsal: more details

Fusaro opened the rehearsal with intriguing camera interaction: she uses the microphone cable as a physical element, in the configuration of a rope, creating a sense of tension between her and the camera. This combination gives the song a dimension of delicate struggle, highlighting the song’s emotional text and bringing viewers directly into the situation.

The Message Behind the Red Ropes

During the song, four dancers wrapped in red ropes guide Fusaro toward a central structure on the stage. It is a climbing facility in the shape of a cube, where the red ropes simulate prison bars—a visual symbol of the song’s message about Alice being “trapped” in a toxic relationship. The directing is polished and manages to convey the song’s narrative clearly and aesthetically, without overloading the show.

Fashion and Powerful Finale

Fusaro appears in a black suit including a short military coat embedded with rhinestones and feather decorations on the shoulders, a look that combines toughness with elegance. In the last part of the song, she takes out a guitar, kneels, and writes the name “Alice” using a red rope on the floor. This is a visual ending that closes the storytelling circle of the character she portrays.

Towards the Semi-Final

As she concludes her first rehearsal, Fusaro is now focusing on polishing the performance for her appearance as song number 7 in the second semi-final. Will Switzerland’s unique staging be enough to secure a place in the Grand Final?
