Portugal’s Eurovision 2026 representative, Bandidos do Cante, held their Second rehearsal in Vienna with the song “Rosa”, and revealed A Blossoming Performance.

The stage in Vienna took on a brand new character this evening as Portugal took to the stage for their second rehearsal ahead of Eurovision 2026, presenting a clear step forward. Bandidos do Cante sounded much more cohesive and confident compared to their performance in the national selection two months ago, with precise harmonies and a rich vocal arrangement that emphasized their uniqueness. “Rosa” (in English: “Rose”) evolved into a sweeping and polished performance, filling the hall with traditional energy and a prominent sense of pride.

Portugal’s Second Rehearsal: More Details

A Mysterious Presence on Stage

The video clip opens with a mysterious new figure on stage. At the beginning of the segment, a woman dressed in a white suit stands on stage playing the violin during the transition to the final chorus of the song. It can be noted at the start of this segment that the camera angle is directed toward the audience so that while the violinist plays, the wide audience behind her on stage is visible, providing a magical, delicate feeling and filling the hall with warm and intimate energy. While playing the violin, she is surrounded by a kind of white swirl between her legs representing the roots of a rose tree.

The Portuguese Aesthetic

After the violinist appears in the segment, the camera immediately moves to the band members standing in a single line, each dressed differently but coordinated in terms of colors – primarily browns and greens. The camera slowly approaches them with a low-to-high movement while the LED screens display a tree growing white roses, fitting for the song title, which also adds to the aesthetic of the band and the violinist’s attire, spreading along the entire catwalk. In addition to their staging, the band members demonstrate strong live vocal abilities and show a wonderful and precise harmonic blend between them.

Will this impressive performance be enough to qualify for the Grand Final?
