Bulgaria’s Second Rehearsal: More Details

The entry, performing as song number one in the second semi-final, arrived to leave a mark, and Dara appears on stage as a true energy bomb. The video published from the second rehearsal showcases the end of the song starting from the bridge (C-part), and it is quickly evident that changes have been made to the melody and rhythm. During this section, a cloud is projected on the screen behind the singer, likely representing the aftermath of a massive explosion. Dara stands at the center of the stage wearing a black skirt, high boots, and a pink top with matching fur-trimmed gloves, surrounded by four dancers.

During the clip, she breaks into an energetic dance routine while rows of purple and white lights move with her in two lines along the runway, above her, and behind her. The dancers accompany her with precise synchronization until, toward the end of the video, one of them lifts her up, and the clip cuts off just seconds before the song’s conclusion. The energy on stage is vibrant and pulsing, suggesting this is a track designed to give the audience the power to get involved and celebrate – so “Welcome to the riot!”

Based on previously released information, a central element of the performance is a house positioned using a “The Wizard of Oz” style method. The leading colors of the scenery are black and purple, with light fixtures hovering during the dance break. Throughout the performance, Dara is presented as a protagonist leading an exorcism ritual. Will the changes to the song be received positively? Will the exorcism ritual manage to grant Bulgaria a ticket to the grand final?
