Who Are the Favorites Tonight?
The Euromix editorial team, after listening to all the competing songs selected Klavdia with her song “Asteromata” as their top pick to represent Greece at Eurovision, placing Evangelia with “Vale” in second place and Xannova Xan with “Play it!” in third. Click here to see Euromix’s full rankings.
According to betting odds for “Ethnikos Telikos 2025”, Klavdia is currently leading as the favorite to win, with a narrow edge over Evangelia, who holds second place. Klavdia has odds of 1.5, while Evangelia follows closely with odds of 3—both relatively low odds that indicate strong chances of winning.
YouTube view counts also reflect a close race between the two frontrunners. Klavdia‘s performance has garnered 1.8 million views on YouTube, while Evangelia’s has reached 1.4 million views. Both are far ahead of third-place contender Barbz, whose song has only amassed 494,000 views.
With no clear favorite emerging, it appears to be a tight competition between Evangelia and Klavdia. While much has already been written about Evangelia in previous coverage, tonight’s spotlight shifts to Klavdia, who is leading this very close race.
Klavdia Papadopoulou, a Greek singer who rose to fame after participating in the Greek version of The Voice in 2018, is one of tonight’s most compelling contenders. Her mentor during the competition was none other than Eurovision winner Helena Paparizou, who guided her all the way to the finals.
For “Ethnikos Telikos 2025,” Klavdia collaborated with Arcade, a team of renowned music creators and producers who also wrote her entry “Asteromata.” The song blends modern elements with traditional Greek music, creating an emotional and captivating piece. With its melancholic tone, “Asteromata” draws inspiration from Klavdia‘s family’s survival story during the Pontic Greek genocide—a deeply personal narrative that adds significant weight to her performance.

She worked with the same team as last year’s Greek representative Marina Satti, who, as we remember, brought an ethnic Greek song to Eurovision.
- Xannova Xan – Participated and represented Greece in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 together with Alexandros Chountas. They reached 6th place with the song “Tora einai i seira mas”.
Greece in Eurovision 2024
“Zari” is the title of the song performed by singer Marina Satti, who was selected through an internal selection process by the Greek national broadcaster. Greece qualified for the final after placing fifth in the second semi-final with 86 points, and in the grand final, they finished in 11th place with 126 points.
Eurovision 2025: This will mark Greece’s 45th participation in Eurovision. Greece joined the competition in 1974 and achieved its best result in Eurovision 2005 when singer Helena Paparizou won first place with the song “My Number One”.
