The Eurovision 2026 betting table has shifted again after a busy selection weekend. Israel continues to drop, while Finland strengthens its lead and Australia emerges as a serious contender ahead of Vienna’s grand final.

In recent hours, a new twist has appeared in the Eurovision 2026 betting charts: Israel has dropped to sixth place, following the official reveal of Australia’s representative and song for the competition — Delta Goodrem and her song “Eclipse”. Goodrem is a highly respected and widely known artist in Australia, with a long and successful international career. Her reputation and recognition appear to have contributed to Australia’s rapid climb in the odds, as bettors expect her to deliver a standout performance at the contest in Vienna, Austria this May.

Australia’s Surge Pushes Israel Down

In just a matter of hours, Delta Goodrem and Australia have climbed to fourth place in the betting charts, pushing Israel down to sixth. Sweden, meanwhile, has fallen to fifth place despite not yet selecting its entry.

However, among the Swedish contenders, Felicia – participating in Sweden’s Melodifestivalen with her song “My System” – is seen as the clear favorite to win the national final, holding a commanding 72% probability according to bettors. She also enjoys strong support from Eurovision fans across social media, which helps explain Sweden’s continued high ranking.

Finland Strengthens Its Lead

Beyond Israel’s decline, Finland has further solidified its position at the top of the Eurovision 2026 odds. Following Saturday’s Finnish “UMK”, Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen were chosen to represent the country with their song “Liekinheitin”.

Finland currently holds a 20% chance of winning the contest, maintaining a strong lead over Greece, which sits in second place with 11% according to the latest betting analyses.

Dramatic Changes in the Betting Odds

Denmark – The song “Før vi går hjem” continues to gain momentum in the betting tables. Over the past week Denmark climbed from fifth place to third, reinforcing its status as one of the clear favorites to win the competition.
Italy – After selecting the song “Per Sempre Si” at the end of last week, a downward trend has been recorded in the tables. Italy, ranked sixth, drops to eighth. It seems that the betting crowd is reacting with some disappointment to the Italian choice.
Malta – The strengthening trend continues also in Malta’s case. The song “Bella” rises in the rankings and reaches ninth, showing steady progress in recent weeks.
Bulgaria – A negative reaction from bettors is also recorded here. After selecting the song “Bangaranga” last Saturday, Bulgaria falls from seventh to 13th place – a sharp drop within days.
Croatia – A little over a week after choosing the song “Andromeda“, a strengthening trend is evident. Croatia climbs from 21st to 17th within a week, hinting at a positive change in betting trends.
Belgium – The sharpest drop this week belongs to Belgium. The song “Dancing on the Ice” falls from 18th to 30th place – a drop of 12 places, the most significant change in the ranking this past week.

The Significance of Early Betting Trends

It is important to emphasize that betting tables are based on public speculation and financial stakes placed by individuals who believe a specific country will win. At this point, the table serves as a map of expectations, much of which is based on historical performance rather than the current year’s musical content. These odds are expected to fluctuate thousands of times before May.

Historically, these trends offer a mixed bag of accuracy. Two years ago, Israel climbed to the top of the odds before its song was even released, eventually finishing fifth in the Grand Final. Conversely, Switzerland took the lead in April and went on to win. In 2022, Ukraine led the odds following the outbreak of war and maintained that momentum to victory. However, in 2021, Malta led for most of the season but ultimately finished seventh, while Italy surged during rehearsals to take the trophy.

Last year, the opening odds placed Israel in fourth. Despite various shifts that saw it drop to seventh in the betting closing prices, the entry actually achieved a remarkable second place finish. Because we are in such an early stage, these tables should be viewed with perspective, though they remain an essential tool for tracking momentum heading into the spring.

Eurovision 2026: The 70th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Austria, following the country’s third historic win with the song “Wasted Love” performed by JJ. This will be the third time the contest is hosted in Austria, after 1967 and 2015.
