Noam Bettan completes second rehearsal in Vienna for Israel’s “Michelle” ahead of Eurovision 2026. Stay tuned for all updates from Austria
Less than a week before the first semi-final, Noam Bettan , Israel’s representative at Eurovision 2026, returned to the stage in Vienna, Austria, for his second rehearsal with the song “Michelle”.
Bettan and the Israeli delegation continue refining the performance in order to achieve the strongest possible result, fine-tuning the staging elements on stage. These include a massive crystal-like structure and an extensive mirror system that plays a central role in the visual design.
Noam Bettan is scheduled to perform in position 10 in Semi-Final 1, which will take place on May 12th. He is set to compete for a place in the Grand Final against other strong contenders such as Finland, widely considered one of the pre-contest favourites to win, and Sweden, another major powerhouse in the competition.

Diamond Stage Concept, Mirrors and Transformations

At the heart of the performance stands a gigantic “diamond” structure – one of the largest ever seen in the contest – inside which Bettan opens “Michelle” together with one dancer. The beginning is intentionally intimate, gradually transforming into a full-stage explosive moment.
Inside the structure, mirrors are integrated to create a striking duplication effect, visually multiplying the performer on screen and intensifying the overall aesthetic impact.
The video released from the Israeli rehearsal captures the first chorus of the song, and concludes with a very short excerpt from the second verse – the English-language section of the track.
Bettan and the dancers are positioned at the center of the stage, outside the “diamond” prop. The dancers surround Noam in a triangular formation, while he stands at the very center of this human triangle.
In the background, the massive diamond structure continues to rotate at a steady pace throughout the performance, shimmering and sparkling behind them.
Later in the performance, the massive structure opens into a flower shape. Bettan then joins the dancer who had been inside the prop, along with additional dancers, and the act evolves into a dynamic, colorful sequence that makes precise use of lighting design and camera angles.
Toward the end of the performance, Bettan and the dancers walk along the catwalk toward the audience, a moment that reportedly heightened the energy inside the rehearsal arena in Vienna and received enthusiastic reactions, including applause from both attendees and the local production team.
Styling, Choreography and Vocal Performance
Noam Bettan appears in a dark outfit combining leather and silk, specially designed to interact with the crystal reflections and emphasize his stage presence.
After exiting the diamond structure, he joins four dancers dressed in contrasting tones of cream and burgundy. Together, they perform synchronized, high-energy choreography.
Alongside the elaborate staging, Bettan delivers a stable and precise vocal performance – something that can already be clearly noticed in the rehearsal clip released – reinforcing his position as a strong contender in the competition, particularly given his strategic placement as performance number 10 in Semi-Final 1.
