Eurovision 2025 Betting Odds: Sweden continues to lead and even strengthens significantly. These are the significant changes in the betting odds table over the last week!

Five new songs were revealed last week, causing further changes in the betting odds tables. Italy, Iceland, Australia, the Netherlands, and Serbia revealed their songs last week. Some entered the top 10, while others ranked at the bottom of the table – how did the unveiling of the songs affect the Eurovision 2025 betting table? The full table is later in the article!

Let’s start with the first place, Sweden consolidates its position at the top and even opens a significant gap, now standing at a 20% chance of winning. The reason for the significant rise in winning odds is the unveiling of the song “Revolution” by singer Måns Zelmerlöw, who will compete next week in the grand final of the Swedish “Melodifestivalen“. It’s worth noting that Zelmerlöw has already won Eurovision 2015 with the song “Heroes.”

France strengthens this week and moves up to second place at the expense of Finland. France has not yet chosen its song for Eurovision, but expectations from the French singer Louane are increasing by the moment. Finland, as mentioned, weakens slightly and drops to third place. Finland will be represented by singer Erika Vikman with the song “Ich Komme.”

Five countries unveiled their songs for Eurovision this week:

Netherlands: On Thursday, the song “C’est La Vie” performed by Claude was revealed. The Netherlands, previously ranked 11th, has significantly risen and is now ranked 6th! It seems that the betting public believes this song could achieve a very high place in the Eurovision final in Basel. Click here to listen to the song!

Australia: Singer Go-Jo will perform “Milkshake Man” at Eurovision, and many were very impressed by the Australian singer’s competition entry. Australia is rising and moved from 19th to 11th place in just a few days. Will this trend continue, and will we see Australia in the top 10? Time will tell. Click here to listen to the song!

Italy: Singer Olly, who won the Sanremo Festival, declined the invitation to participate in Eurovision, so the offer was passed to Lucio Corsi, who is expected to perform “Volevo essere un duro” on the Eurovision 2025 stage. With the announcement, Italy, which was in 6th place three weeks ago, fell to 15th place. If this is the place Italy reaches at Eurovision, it will be the first time since 2016 that Italy does not secure a top 10 spot in the Eurovision final. Click here to listen to the song!

Iceland: The duo Væb, was chosen last Saturday to represent our country in Eurovision. With the selection, Iceland recorded a slight rise and is now ranked only 34th. Click here to listen to the song!

Serbia: The Serbian song “Mila” was chosen less than 24 hours ago, but it seems that the betting public was disappointed with the choice, despite it being a ballad that could stand out among many upbeat pop songs chosen so far for the competition. Serbia fell from 33rd to 36th place. Click here to listen to the song!

Further changes in the table this past week:

Austria: Even this week, Austria continues to strengthen, although the song has not yet been revealed. Three weeks ago, Austria was in 14th place, but now it is already ranked 5th! What do the bettors know that we don’t? Why are the expectations from the singer JJ so high? We will find out soon!

Portugal: The first semifinal of the Portuguese national selection has passed, and Portugal, which recorded a meteoric rise last week and was placed 6th, is showing signs of a moderate decline and is now only ranked 10th.

Malta: After the impressive week of Miriana Conte last week, where she was placed 8th, Malta also shows signs of a moderate decline and is now only ranked 12th.

San Marino: The most significant rise this week is recorded by San Marino after revealing the list of finalists in the grand final of its “San Marino Song Contest”. Surprisingly, the list included the song “Tutta l’Italia” by DJ Gabry Ponte. Why is this surprising, you ask? The song was actually used as the official song of the Sanremo Festival just two weeks ago, and as is known, the Italian festival serves as a sort of national selection for Italy. So how is it possible that the theme song of the Italian national selection is competing in the San Marino national selection? Well, it’s happening! By the way, it is one of the biggest and most played hits in Italy these days and one of the biggest hits to come out of Sanremo. San Marino is now ranked 17th after being placed 31st last week.

Lithuania: The song by the band Katarsis records a decline this week. The rock song “Tavo akys,” which was ranked 15th last week, has now fallen to 19th place.

Germany: The powerhouse that will choose its song for Eurovision tonight records a significant drop after the semifinals were held. It seems that the betting audience, who watched the songs, was very disappointed, and although Germany was ranked 12th last week, it now believes that Germany will fail again in the grand final. Germany is now ranked 23rd.

Azerbaijan: The song by the Azerbaijani band, “Run With U,” recorded a drop of eight places this week and is now only ranked 28th.

Is There Significance to the Betting Odds?

It’s important to note that betting tables are based on many people wagering their money on countries they believe might win the upcoming Eurovision. At this stage, the betting table is merely a table of expectations, of which only a small part will materialize and a large part will prove wrong. It is partly based on countries’ results in previous years and partly on songs already chosen to compete in national selections, or songs competing in local Eurovision preliminaries. These tables may change thousands of times until May.

Two years ago, Sweden led the betting tables from the song selection until their big win in Liverpool. Three years ago, after the war between Ukraine and Russia broke out, Ukraine topped the betting tables and eventually won the competition. In contrast, four years ago, Malta led the betting tables for most of the Eurovision season, with Italy overtaking Malta only in the rehearsal week. Although Italy won first place, Malta ultimately ranked only seventh.

At this stage, not all representatives and songs for this year’s Eurovision are known, and there are still national selections that haven’t revealed their competing songs and artists. Therefore, the betting tables should be taken in proportion. Nevertheless, this important tool shouldn’t be disregarded, and we will continue to follow it.

Eurovision 2025: This will be Switzerland’s 65th participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. Switzerland joined the competition in 1956, being one of the seven founding countries, and has won three times over the years. Its most recent victory was at the last Eurovision in 2025, with Nemo’s song “The Code.” This win follows Switzerland’s previous victory in 1988 with the song “Ne partez pas sans moi,” performed by international singer Céline Dion.
