Sal Da Vinci, the winner of "Festival Di Sanremo 2026", which also serves as Italy’s national selection for Eurovision, announced at a celebratory press conference that he is delighted to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, which will take place in Vienna, Austria. According to the national broadcaster’s rules, the Sanremo winner receives an offer to represent Italy at Eurovision.
The song was written by Sal Da Vinci together with Alessandro La Cava, Eugenio Maimone, Federica Abbate, Federico Mercuri, Francesco Sorrentino, and Giordano Cremona. It is performed in Italian. he will perform during the first semi-final of the contest on May 12th, however, as Italy is one of the Big Five countries, it will automatically qualify for the Grand Final on May 16th.
