Denmark’s Eurovision Selection Process

The contest format remains identical to previous years, with eight songs competing in the final. Three of the contestants will advance to the second round of the final, decided by a combination of 50% public voting and 50% jury voting. One of these three will be chosen to represent Denmark at Eurovision.

The Danes are determined to prove themselves following Denmark’s success in qualifying for the final last year, after four consecutive years of remaining in the semi‑finals. According to the national final’s executive producer Erik Struve Hansen, this year’s competition is expected to be innovative and modern. The contest’s branding will receive a refresh, with a new logo and graphic design. At DR they are determined to rebrand the show for a younger audience in order to pave the way for a strong result at the contest.
