Ahead of the first semi-final of Eurovision 2026, which will be held tonight in Vienna, Austria, at 21:00 CET, the full running order for the competing nations has been finalized. This guide provides all the details known at this stage, including which nations will open and close the show and the specific slot for every participant.

The First Semi-Final Running Order

Tonight, Tuesday, May 12th, the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 will take place. It is important to note that two members of the “Big 5” (the nations providing the primary financial contribution to the contest) will also perform during this semi-final. While these acts will showcase their entries, they are not eligible for the public vote tonight as they have already automatically qualified for the Grand Final.

The Grand Final Running Order

The running order for the Grand Final of Eurovision 2026 will only be determined following the conclusion of both semi-finals and the announcement of the full list of qualifying nations. However, one specific detail is already confirmed – the host nation, Austria, was pre-drawn to perform as song number 25 in the final.

The positions for the remaining qualifying nations will be determined by the contest producers. This follows a draw where each nation is assigned to either the first or second half of the evening, after which the full production-led running order is established.

Eurovision 2026: the 70th edition of the contest will take place in Vienna, Austria, on May 12th, 14th, and 16th, 2026. The Wiener Stadthalle arena, which will host the event, is expected to accommodate around 16,000 spectators per show. The contest returns to Austria following the nation’s third historic win with the song “Wasted Love”, performed by JJ. It will be Austria’s third time hosting Eurovision, after previous editions held in the country in 1967 and 2015.
