The Eurovision 2025 season is approaching, and with it the main question: which artists will we see representing their country in the competition? In our series of articles, we will introduce you to several well-known artists from each country, whom we believe are worthy of representing their country and whom we would like to see on the Eurovision stage in Switzerland.
Each article will focus on four different countries and several artists from each country, so through these articles you can get to know many new artists, and perhaps we will even see some of them in future competitions! So who are the artists that could bring the best result for Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia & Montenegro?
Who should represent Serbia?
The Serbian broadcaster RTS announced in July that Serbia will participate in Eurovision 2025, to be held in Switzerland, and opened the registration window for its national selection, “Pesma Za Evroviziju 2025”. Who do we think should represent Serbia?
Filarri:
Filarri is a 25-year-old pop singer, songwriter, and social media influencer born in Serbia. He began his career studying at the “Stankovic” School of Music in Belgrade, followed by additional studies in Croatia. Before developing his career across the Balkans, he participated in prestigious international festivals in Romania, Malta, Slovenia, and Austria, where he won various awards. The singer released his first song “Drama” in 2021. In 2023, Filarri performed at notable events such as the Pride Parade and took part in the 80s show at Belgrade Fashion Week. That same year, he made his debut in the Serbian Eurovision selection “Pesma Za Evroviziju” with the song “Posle Mene“, finishing 13th in the final. In 2024, he returned to the selection with “Ko je ta žena” but did not advance to the final. In addition to being a musician, Filarri is active as a social media influencer on topics such as grooming, healthy lifestyle, news, and popular trends, currently boasting around 170,000 followers on his TikTok account. Will we see this talented artist on the Eurovision stage?
Filip Baloš:
Filip Baloš is a 23-year-old pop singer and songwriter born in Novi Sad, Serbia. Coming from a family that values music and art, Baloš developed a passion for singing and painting from a young age. In 2016, he began studying professional design in high school and is currently a student at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. He released his first song “Idemo do mene” in 2020 and has since released four additional singles, one of which is a cover of “Mekano” by Konstrakta, Serbia’s representative at Eurovision 2022. In 2023, Baloš made his debut in the Serbian Eurovision selection “Pesma Za Evroviziju” with the song “Novi plan drugi san“, finishing third in the final. In 2024, he returned to the selection with “Duga je noc” but did not advance to the final. Will we see the singer in the Eurovision selection again this year?
Zorja:
Zorja is a 28-year-old singer and songwriter born in Belgrade, Serbia. Since childhood, she developed a great affinity for music, especially violin playing and ethnic singing, leading her to successfully complete her studies at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. In 2021, she participated in the singing competition “Zvezde Granda“, where she finished fifth and gained significant recognition. Shortly after, she released her first song “Lutka od porcelana“. In 2022, Zorja made her debut in the Serbian Eurovision selection “Pesma Za Evroviziju” with the song “Zorja“, finishing third in the final. In 2024, she returned to the selection with “Lik u ogledalu“, again finishing third. Zorja is recognized as one of the strongest vocalists and a highly skilled artist who could bring a lot of pride to Serbia. Will we see her on the competition stage?
Džordži:
Džordži is a 29-year-old singer, songwriter, and model born in Belgrade, Serbia. From a young age, he began playing guitar and aspired to build a successful music career in both singing and playing various instruments. He initially served as the lead singer of the band “Lem Jem” and released his first solo song “Ne PIjem” in 2020. In 2015, he started his modeling career, taking part in campaigns for famous fashion companies, such as the well-known American brand Tommy Hilfiger. In 2023, he participated in the Serbian reality show “the IDJ Show” and won the opportunity to record a song and music video for a famous record label. In 2024, Džordži participated in the Serbian Eurovision selection “Pesma Za Evroviziju” with the song “Luna Park“, finishing eighth in the final. Will we see Džordži in the Eurovision selection again this year?
Who should represent Croatia?
After confirming its participation in May, just days after the Eurovision final in Malmö, the Croatian broadcaster, HRT, opened the registration for the Croatian Eurovision selection “Dora 2025”. Who should represent Croatia?
Marin:
Marin is a Croatian singer and content creator born in Omiš, Croatia. From a young age, he aspired to pursue music and singing, was a member of school choirs, and often sang at various events. In 2018, Marin participated in the seventh season of “Big Brother” in Croatia, where he stated that his biggest dream is to become a successful singer. In 2023, he participated in the reality show “Superstar” in Croatia but failed to make it into the cast. In 2024, Marin attempted to participate in the Croatian Eurovision selection “Dora 2024” with his song “Tama Tama“, but the song was not accepted for the selection. Will we see the singer’s dream come true on the competition stage?
Marko Bošnjak:
Marko is a 20-year-old pop singer of Bosnian-Croatian origin born in Bosnia. He began his career in 2016 when he won the second edition of the Serbian singing show “Pinkove Zvezdice“. In 2022, Marko made his debut in the Croatian Eurovision selection “Dora 2022” with his song “Moli za nas“, finishing second in the final. Shortly after, the song was officially released on all platforms. That same year, he participated in the Croatian pop song festival “Split Festival” with his song “Pjesma za kraj“. In 2023, he released his third single “Spokojan“, which won the “Song of the Year” award in Croatia. Will we see the singer in the Eurovision selection again this year?
Marcela:
Marcela is a pop and rock singer born in Croatia. She began her career in 2011 when she participated in the show “Hrvatska trazi zvijezdu”. She then continued her career as the lead singer of the band “Luminize”, and together they participated in “The Voice” Netherlands. After the band disbanded, Marcela began a solo career and over the years released covers of well-known songs, including songs by Nirvana and Radiohead. In 2024, she participated for the first time in the Croatian Eurovision selection “Dora 2024” with her song “Gasoline“, finishing sixth in the final. Will we see Marcela on the competition stage in the future?
Who should represent Slovenia?
After confirming its participation in Eurovision 2025 about a month ago, the Slovenian broadcaster RTVSLO announces the return of the Slovenian Eurovision selection “EMA 2025”, which will take place on February 1st, through which the Slovenian representative for Eurovision 2025 in Switzerland will be chosen. Will we see the following artists?
July Jones:
July Jones is a 26-year-old electro-pop singer born in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She began her music career at a young age, studying music in school and graduating with a degree in jazz from Berklee College. In 2021, she released her first song “Butterflies” together with two other singers. In 2022, July participated for the first time in the Slovenian Eurovision selection “EMA 2022” with the song “Girls can do anything“, finishing sixth in the final. July is an artist with a unique appearance and perspective, whose songs address deep topics such as mental health issues and being part of the LGBTQ+ community. Will we see this talented artist in the Eurovision selection?
Denis Trap:
Denis is a 21-year-old pop singer born in Celje, Slovenia. In his youth, he loved playing the piano, which led him to study professional piano at the Velenje School of Music, where he graduated with honors. In 2019, Denis participated in the Slovenian singing competition “Slovenska nota”, where he won first place with the song “Night and Day“, written especially for him. In 2020, he released his first self-written song “100“. Over the years, the singer has gained experience performing at various events, exhibitions, literary evenings, charity concerts, and personal performances. Since the beginning of his career, Denis has consistently published various covers of Slovenian and international songs on social media, especially on YouTube. Will we see the singer competing in the selection?
Who should represent Montenegro?
The Montenegrin broadcaster RTCG has already confirmed that it will participate in Eurovision 2025 and will use the Eurovision selection “Montesong” to choose its song for the competition. The participants of the Eurovision selection have already been revealed, but it’s still important for us to say who we think should represent Montenegro.
Enisa:
Enisa Nikaj, better known by her first name Enisa, is a 28-year-old American singer of Albanian-Montenegrin descent. Enisa began her career in 2015, performing on modest stages and on social media with covers of songs that were not her own, until she exploded on the internet. Enisa released her first song “Burn This Bridge” in 2016, which achieved some success, and then moved on to a professional career. Enisa has an interest in the Eurovision competition, and we previously reported that she was supposed to represent Montenegro at Eurovision 2023 with her song “Olé“. Earlier that year, Enisa competed in the “American Song Contest”, representing the state of New York with her song “Green Light”, but did not make it past the semi-final stage.
Nina Petković:
Nina Petković is a 43-year-old Montenegrin singer who also has a long history with the Eurovision competition. She began her career by participating in the show “Operacija Trijumf”, where she performed with a wide range of well-known artists from the Balkan region, including some from Eurovision. She performed covers of timeless songs from the Balkans such as “Neka Mi Ne Svane” which represented Croatia in 1998 and “Oro” which represented Serbia in 2018. Petković reached the final stage of the show but was eliminated in its first round. After participating in the show, Petković tried several times to represent Montenegro at Eurovision. She was supposed to participate in the selection in 2009, but Montenegro ultimately chose Andrea Demirović through an internal selection. Subsequently, Petković participated twice in the Eurovision selection – in 2018 with her song “Dišem” and in 2019 with her song “Uzmi Ili Ostavi” but was not selected again.

Eurovision 2025: The 69th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Basel, Switzerland, on May 13, 15, and 17, 2025. The St. Jakobshalle arena, which will host the competition, is expected to accommodate about 12,000 spectators for each show. The contest will take place in Switzerland following the country’s third historical win with the song “The Code”, performed by singer Nemo. This will be the third time the competition has been hosted in Switzerland, after the contest was held there in 1956 and 1989.
