All 37 participating songs for Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland have been released!
37 countries and representatives from across Europe, Australia, and Israel have been selected over the past seven months, and now the competition is officially underway! A long season of internal selections and national finals has come to an end. During the last six months, participating countries have announced and chosen their representatives one after another for the upcoming contest to be held this May.
31 countries will compete in two semi-finals scheduled for May 13th and May 15th, aiming to advance to the grand final on May 17th. They will join the “Big Five” (Italy, United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, and France) who have automatically secured their place in the final, along with the host country – Switzerland.
This year’s competition features 10 duos and bands, 14 male singers, and 13 female singers. It’s yet unclear if there’s a clear frontrunner to win the glass trophy, in a year filled with what Eurovision fans call “crowd-pleasing” songs. Montenegro returns after a two-year absence. Moldova, which initially registered for Eurovision 2025 and even began holding a national selection, withdrew in January.
On September 2, 2024, Cyprus’s representative was revealed, becoming the first artist announced for Eurovision 2025. Georgia completed the 2025 lineup by unveiling its representative on March 14. After 27 national selection shows, all songs are now known, and all that remains is to follow them, listen to them on repeat, and wait until Eurovision kicks off in Switzerland.
Until then, we can expect a busy period of about a month and a half, with Pre-Parties across Europe, changes in betting odds, reveals of additional details about the contestants’ performances on the Eurovision stage, and of course, the preparation of the Israeli delegation led by Israel’s representative Yuval Raphael to represent us on the world’s biggest stage while trying to recover from a tumultuous season last year.

Eurovision 2025: This will be Switzerland’s 65th participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. Switzerland joined the competition in 1956, being one of the seven founding countries, and has won three times over the years. Its most recent victory was at the last Eurovision in 2025, with Nemo’s song “The Code.” This win follows Switzerland’s previous victory in 1988 with the song “Ne partez pas sans moi,” performed by international singer Céline Dion.
